Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Senior Quality Specialist supporting Completions and Wellbore Intervention in Houston, TX. This position is responsible for evaluating the manufacturing processes to determine root cause and effect of product non-conformities, improve processes to ensure quality, products and services to adherence of quality standards.
Responsible for driving proactive risk reduction and product quality improvements
Modify existing quality process & procedures and developing new process & procedures
Facilitate Continuous Improvement Processes
Manage Corrective Action Processes
Facilitate and manage multiple projects and initiatives as assigned
Manufacturing project management participation in planning, execution and tracking of on-going production, new product release, and rework projects
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of experience in quality related field including manufacturing.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or knowledge of continual improvement programs
Previous experience must include working within an ISO 9001 / API Q1 environment.
Knowledge of Manufacturing/Quality processes and documentation
Root Cause Analysis experience or training
Commitment to continuous process improvement
Proficiency with MSOffice applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to review and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
Strong Communication Skills
Strong Customer Relationship Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science
Lean manufacturing experience preferred
Quality auditing experience
Ability to create Power Points and present to customers and various levels of personnel within the organization
