Provide Quality Engineering expertise in implementation of company quality system and in support of the programs being conducted at the Niceville Operations facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Prepares and maintains quality plans and inspection plans.
Responsible for configuration control and documentation; corrective actions as required.
Devises Sampling Plans and procedures.
Establishes programs used to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing measurement and analytical equipment.
Develops methods and procedures to disposition discrepant materials and parts, assess costs and responsibilities.
Assists design engineer in determining appropriate specifications for parts / materials acceptable for specific uses.
Evaluates designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations for changes.
Assists vendor base in attaining / maintaining quality of supplied product / materials.
Evaluates suppliers to accept as approved vendor.
Leads or assists in reliability, safety and hazards assessment and other general QA functions in support of assigned programs.
Other duties as assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities though involves substantial mentoring of personnel regarding quality practices for ISO and program compliance.Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent and 12+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Six Sigma Black Belt Certified or equivalent required.
Certified Quality Engineer or equivalent required.
Certified Reliability Inspector and/or other quality related certified specialization.
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
