Responsibilities
As a Senior Quality Engineer, the candidate will play a critical leadership role in a facility that manufacturers hardware. The manufacturing environment includes semi-conductor processing as well as standard electronic assembly. The candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship for a team of engineers to deliver high reliability electronic assemblies to end customers. The candidate will identify and implement improvement activities and support customer requirements for quality and workmanship.
Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
8 or more years serving as a Quality Engineer in a leadership position
Experience working in a manufacturing environment and delivering product in a manufacturing environment with high maturity level (i.e. Relevant Production Environments, Low Rate Production Environments) to customers with strict workmanship criteria
Have working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
Exhibit strong critical thinking skills aimed at process development and improvement
Have working knowledge of Mil Specs
Have a thorough understanding of best manufacturing process, DOE, process/device/design interaction
Possess excellent written/oral communication skills in English, including the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences. Good interpersonal skills required to communicate clearly with internal teams and customers
Possess certification in lean engineering or have relevant experience in an environment that utilizes lean practices
Able to manage risks and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of FMEA techniques is required as well as a strong knowledge of fault analysis methodologies (Ishikawa, 5 Whys, etc.)
Experience with quality management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to lead and mentor small task teams
Experience with First Article Inspection practices is desired
The individual should be self-motivated, able to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment
