About this position:

The Steel Department of Honda Trading is searching for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist. The goal of this role is to eliminate Honda Trading (HT) exposure to financial liability and minimize supply quality and process risks through department audits, gap identification, quality control improvements and internal/external audit management.

Your responsibilities:

  • Raw Materials Department quality audits and related PDCA follow up for external supplier and warehouses

  • Raw Material Department regional audits of procedures, reporting, contracts, documents, etc. and required PDCA follow up

  • Raw Materials contract management for suppliers, customers and warehouses

  • Raw Materials audit management (SOX, E&Y, KPMG, HNA, HTJ, etc.)

  • Control and maintain current SOX narratives

  • Continuing studies in lean process improvement, six sigma, inventory management, industry best practices, etc.

  • Provide backup support in data management data entry as needed

What you need to be successful in the role:

  • Knowledge of MS office suite

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Basic knowledge of cost accounting

Required Work Experience:

  • 2 years experience in raw materials supply chain management

  • Experience with quality process analysis and raw materials industry exposure

Required Education:

BS/BA in relative field
