This role is responsible for leading the testing efforts from end to end including requirements reviews, planning, test case design, execution, and defect management across business functions to ensure that new functionality/systems are thoroughly tested with a high quality of assurance that any changes to production environments perform as expected to minimize risks associated with the changes.
Accountabilities:
Responsibilities/Duties/Function/Tasks:
Analyze requirements and provide timely and meaningful feedback useful for testing
Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, timeline estimates, etc. during planning meetings
Execute test cases for new or enhanced functionality
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured Test Plans and Test Completion Reports
Document and facilitate communication and troubleshooting of issues, defects, and changes
Write detailed test cases from the requirements/use cases
Able to define ETL Test scenarios regarding data quality, scalability, accuracy, and transformation using ETL testing best practices and data analysis
Able to define Functional & System Integration Test scenarios using testing best practices
Able to work with other QA staff to setup testing tools and processes
Define testing estimates and prioritize testing items as per business criticality and impact
Perform peer reviews and provide feedback for improvement
Collaborate with other QA staff to accomplish daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of quality
Provide regular updates to the QA Manager with respect to test status, defects, and risks
Maintain open communication with internal teams
Assist QA Manager in planning and documenting the testing effort by creating test plans and test strategies
Assist business users in user acceptance testing
Provide inputs to QA Manager for system integration, regression and automation testing
Maintains end to end traceability using test management tool
Assists QA Manager in collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations
Able to represent QA in daily standups with development/business teams
Work with offshore QA team members as and when required
Create and deliver testing artifacts as defined in procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Architecture, Finance, or business equivalent
7+ years working in QA / Software Testing with at least 3+ years as a Sr. QA Analyst
Strong experience with testing in capital markets and investment banking domain
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
1-3 years of experience using test management and automation tools such as HP ALM/Quality Center and UFT
Positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to accomplish complicated testing projects with confidence
Strong commitment to department and company goals
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently
Ability to influence others and be an agent for change
Must be a team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
Experience in Agile and Waterfall Testing methodology
Quality Assurance and/or Testing Certification is a plus
Compensation Range:
Annual Salary: $94,200.00 - $105,300.00
This salary range represents the Bank's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of hire. Offer to be determined by selected applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills & abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This role is also eligible to participate in the Bank's annual incentive plan.
