POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science or related field; or in lieu of degree 5 to 7 years of software quality assurance experience required.
Experience leading and/or as major contributor on several significant team-oriented systems projects required.
Intimate knowledge of SDLC (System or Software Development Life Cycle) required.
Ability to quickly trouble-shoot and diagnose common software failure and faults required.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Work collaboratively with Business, Business Analysts and Development staff to review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables
Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
Participate in preparing the test strategy and end to end test plans.
Conduct test strategy and test plan review sessions
Conduct peer reviews of developed test strategies and plans and provides feedback and corrective actions.
Execute and manage all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met, and that the solution works as expected.
Ensure solutions are tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility.
Monitor the test coverage and identify coverage gaps.
Identify and facilitate test data acquisition.
Monitor the test progress against the schedule.
Develop "go to green" plans, as needed.
Create and publish test execution reports.
Monitor and report defects.
Conduct test result walk thru sessions with the Business teams.
