The Senior Quality Control (QC) Scientist will be responsible for all functions in Quality Control such as SOP writing, method qualifications, transfer, test methods, protocols and report writing, and product release. We seek candidates with proven ability to work independently who can also mentor junior team members, so group goals can be achieved collaboratively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performs routine testing as needed, leads QC investigations, reviews data for product release

  • Works collaboratively with other departments on problem solving and root cause investigations

  • Trains and coaches staff and supports scheduling of day-to-day QC lab operations on the floor

  • Executes method qualifications/transfers and generates qualification reports

  • Evaluation and testing of raw materials ensuring that materials meet product specification

  • Review of performance and specifications through the product lifecycle, including process capability analysis and trending, along with other Key Performance Indicators as required

  • Design and maintenance of product stability studies

  • Generates documentation for NCMRs, CAPAs and risk assessments

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry or equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Control environment

  • Hands on experience with protein binding assays.

  • Hands on experience in method development, qualification, validation and/or transfer.

  • Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and statistics.

  • Experience creating/revising/reviewing operational SOPs, technical documents, protocols, and reports.

  • Independently motivated, detail oriented and strong problem-solving ability

  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Excellent communication, technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential
