As a Senior QA Test Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • This role requires the individual to write automation code in SeeTest with JAVA programming. Responsibilities include the following:
  • Implement test practices, standards and processes, troubleshoot test issues, record test results, track and prioritize defects, participate in product readiness and release decisions.
  • Make sure the automation is constantly running and being analyzed, reporting on failure promptly.
  • Be effective in participating at program, project and product related levels.
  • Participate in technical governance and help negotiate overall product quality standards with development and business teams.
  • Define and execute both the project and release level Test Strategies, Test Plans and Test Cases/Scripts which span across multiple, internal QA Product Teams.
  • Coordinate test execution with external vendors, as applicable, according to Retail Web Trading standards.
  • Work with the QA Manager to research, investigate, implement and train other QA Testing Resources in the areas of Agile Testing Practices, Test Driven Development, Testing Automation and managing Testing Metrics for publication to Upper Management.
  • Accountable for project/product based testing efforts across multiple applications (including End to End Test efforts).
  • Act as the escalation point for all testing related issues, provide the QA perspective, status reporting and escalate issues to responsible stakeholders, as well as insure standard, and consistent, QA processes are followed.
  • Work with assigned Product Teams, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to compose and manage integrated project plans, testing schedules, metrics and provide project and release status updates to all levels of management.
  • Coordinate with team members for testing activities, participating in Requirements Ambiguity, & Use Case / User Story Reviews, and conduct QA analysis & test support activities.
  • Work cross-organizationally both within Schwab and with external vendors, both on and offshore to define environment requirements, identify QA-related tools, develop and execute QA process and testing best practices.

Requirements

  • Good understanding in Software Testing fundamentals and Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Write Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts and project related documentation.
  • Experience with automation tools Selenium WebDriver with C# and java, HP QTP/UFT and manual testing tools: HP Quality Center/ALM and Microsoft TFS and
  • Good understanding of Appium, Experitest SeeTest tools for mobile app automation.
  • Experience with Mobile Web and Cross browser automation testing.
  • Experience with web services testing using Visual Studio and SOAP UI.
  • Experience with Load Testing using Visual Studio and API Testing using SOAP UI and Groovy scripting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven team player

This position is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet requisite functional and technical compliance and maintain high overall product quality. Also responsible for having proficient understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality.Test Engineers will also Interface with other Social Gaming staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. Essential Job Functions: * Ensures that all software is working as intended through rigorous, detailed testing * Uses familiarity with standard QA processes to review bugs, test cases, and create documentation * Develops, maintains, and executes test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and operating systems/platforms * Documents, maintains, and tracks the status of all issues in the bug tracking database (JIRA) until issues are resolved * Reproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issues * Generates status reports, documentation, and and other low-level reports for supervisors and/or product development groups * Interface with Product Managers to ensure new feature specs/requirements are met * Lead software defect scrub meetings and Test Milestone hand-off meetings with Development * May generate/provide input to project status reports for each assigned project * Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development life-cycle * Works with QA Management and other product development groups to implement new QA processes and improve existing ones * Communicates with other departments within Social Gaming to prevent issues from arising and correct existing problems during the development cycle * Mentor junior team members * Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment * Ability to work with limited supervision Position Requirements: Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience * Academic and/or proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products Required Experience: * 3+ years of professional software testing experience Preferred Experience: * 4+ years of professional software testing experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities * Working knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardware * Experience with JIRA * Web/Mobile testing experience is a plus * QA experience in Social Media Gaming is a plus * Experience in a Software Development environment * Proficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycle * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Efficiently regulate and prioritize tasks * Ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members * Meet quick deadlines and deliver precise, effective results in a fast-paced work environment * Strong technical knowledge of computers/mobile devices and ability to effectively troubleshoot computers/mobile devices * Capable of providing input and potential solutions to identified issues * Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment * Ability to work with limited supervision * Knowledge of Unity/SQL/MySQL/PHP/Programming Basics/Scripting Languages is a plus We are SciPlay!
