We are looking for an Embedded Systems Senior QA Engineer to join the IoT group working on our cloud-connected IoT devices, our Apps and cloud platform. Our cloud-connected devices offer interesting engineering challenges, including video acquisition, compression and playing, audio sync, computer vision, LTE modems, real-time communication, onboard sensors such as GPS and accelerometers, and over-the-air upgrades with new firmware.

Responsibilities:
Work directly with Firmware Engineers, App Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product and Program managers to help discover and resolve product issues
Work with cross-functional teams to explore requirements, designs, and implementations in order to execute acceptance tests and develop test plans
Utilize a solid knowledge of Embedded Systems and Firmware testing
Work with the quality assurance team to explore requirements, prepare test scenarios, write test specifications
Drive our IoT devices around, gathering and analyzing data
Help improve test automation throughout the entire software development life cycle
Execute tests, isolate bugs, troubleshoot, and log defects and follow through to defect closure
Play a major role in championing the importance of quality improvement across all areas of the software development life cycle
Identify hypothetical failure modes; design and execute tests of hypotheses
Complete any additional tasks as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years of experience and/or certification
4+ years of industry experience in QA with a focus on testing Embedded Firmware and systems
Knowledge about CI/CD tools like GitHub and Jenkins
Working knowledge of SpiraTest or other test case management tool is a plus
Experience writing automated tests for Embedded systems using Python and Linux Bash scripting
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies such as S3 is a plus
Experience with Agile Scrum and using Jira
Experience with IoT devices is a plus
Ability to collaborate between local and remote teams of engineers
Ability to take our IoT devices out for test drives as a part of the QA test cycle
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to do the drive tests are required
Willingness to submit to a Motor Vehicle Report check
