One of the largest dental benefits company is looking to bring on a new QA Engineer who will be working as a contractor. This company is rapidly growing and looking to increase their team quickly. In this role, youll have the chance to learn newer technologies and some digital content creation work as well.
Required Skills & Experience
A Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred) or equivalent experience
Excelent written and verbal communication skills
At least 3 year of testing software in an agile environment
Knowledge and experienced in technical aspects of software and operating systems
Desired Skills & Experience
5+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
3+ years of web application or mobile application test experience.
3+ years of programming experience in a high-level language
Strong automation experience with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Jasmine, Mocha, Junit
What You Will Be Doing
Mentor and collaborate with team members of varying skill sets (developers and non-developers) as a senior member of the team
Execute within an Agile development process in an open work environment

50% Automation Tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Maven)

10% Manual Tools (Jira, Spira)

The Offer
Competitive Pay: Up to $55/hour, DOE
Contract Duration: 6 12 Months

Elavon is seeking Sr. Performance and Automation Engineer to work with stakeholders to develop comprehensive performance test plans. Responsibilities: * Works with stakeholders to develop comprehensive performance test plans * Understands the requirements for performance of all applications in scope and makes recommendations for capacity planning to infrastructure teams * Configures and maintains test environments * Works with the application and infrastructure teams to ensure that sufficient performance monitoring is in place in the testing environments * Creates, executes and maintains performance testing scripts * Documents the success and failure of test cases for metrics gathering and reporting * Analyzes the load and performance test results and creates test reports * Tests web applications and mobile device applications thoroughly * Writes up defects with applicable supporting evidence of defect * Collaborates with developers, automation and performance testers, and other stakeholders on projects * Assists in evaluating and recommending changes to performance testing tools as required * Actively participates in team discussions * Participates in design workshops, sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives * Researches and resolves issues * Wears the automation developer hat when needed * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field; OR equivalent, relevant work experience * Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with at least 5 years in Automation Development or at least 5 years of programming experience * Team oriented individual that works well with others * In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and best practices * Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills * Ability to troubleshoot and debug test scripts * Java knowledge and programming skills * Experience working with Linux/Unix OS and knowledge of commands * Experience configuring and maintaining test environments * Experience with XML and Web Services * Experience with at least one scripting language * Experience with the writing of SQL queries * Ability to wear the hat of an automation tester when needed * Previous experience with performance tools such as but not limited to LoadUI, Loadrunner, or In-house performance tools (Mobile Performance Testing Tools is a major plus) * Agile (e.g. SCRUM) software development certifications and/or equivalent experience US Bank Atlanta GA
