Senior QA Automation Engineer

The Sr QA Automation Engineer uses their excellent application analysis skills to develop test plans and automate the testing plans that validate the performance, quality, and workability of a deliverable. The candidate should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent project management skills. While automation is the focus of this role, manual testing and test case coverage are necessary skills. Detailed, collaborative, and team-oriented are key descriptors of the Sr QA Automation Engineer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaboration - early and often interaction with engineers to learn the scope and purpose of deliverables.

• Design - excellent ability to anticipate software application weaknesses and design procedures to expose them.

• Process - masterful understanding of testing scopes (regression, integration, performance, load, user acceptance), their purpose, and appropriate use in the delivery cycle.

• Documentation - create and maintain solutions documentation and artifacts.

• Automation - exceptional ability to write, execute and maintain quality engineering automation scripting and underlying automation systems using Selenium, Appium (Preferred coding language C# or Java)

• API Testing

• Understanding API design, Restful services. Driving test cases for testing API's using Soap UI or Postman.

• Load Testing

• Developing load tests for API using JMeter.

• SQL - Good knowledge of SQL to verify the changes to the database.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in QA engineering (especially automation, Selenium preferred) and delivery

• Bachelor's Degree Required. Applicable experience acceptable

Physical Demands

• Constantly remain in a stationary position

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

• Frequently operate standard office equipment such as a computer
