Senior QA Automation Engineer

Tech Firefly is teaming up with a national electronics company to hire a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join the team.

12+ Months Contract to Hire

Responsibilities

• Create detailed and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Develop and implement automated tests to improve testing efficiency.
• Record and track bugs, collaborating with developers to ensure timely resolutions.
• Conduct system-level tests to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Evaluate and enhance system security measures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of testing phases and identified defects.
• Continuously refine and enhance QA processes and methodologies.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in QA, ideally with video management systems.

Skills

• Expertise in network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, RTSP).
• Proficient in network configuration and troubleshooting for video streaming.
• Knowledge of network security, including VPNs and firewall configurations.
• Proficient with tools like Selenium, Appium, or custom frameworks.
• Experience in scripting for automation using Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Familiarity with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
• Experience setting up end-to-end test environments, including software applications and hardware (e.g., cameras, DVRs, networking equipment).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and isolating issues across hardware and software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with complex video system networks.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers in advanced testing techniques.
