Position Description

Ally Invest is seeking an experienced C# Selenium automation and performance testing engineer to be an integral member of the Automation Team responsible for front-end/API automation, and performance testing. The ideal candidate must have expertise in Selenium automation, Performance testing and analysis as well as excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage multiple QA tracks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Help build performance testing from the ground up using Gatling and Blazemeter with Taurus across several web applications

  • Analyze performance testing results and advise product teams on potential areas of improvement

  • Develop/maintain/execute Performance/Load testing as needed in the QA and Capacity environments

  • Work with agile teams to identify Automation Candidates and learn the different Ally Invest applications

  • Maintain Production monitoring tests throughout our CICD process

  • Write Selenium automation tests in a custom C# framework

  • Maintain and improve existing C# automation framework

  • Mentor QA testers in QA and Automation best practices

  • Work with other QA teammates to write test cases that make automation easier

  • Advise agile teams on development best practices to support automation

  • Help drive automation of mobile regression testing

  • Assist with creating an optimal QA environment

  • Stay current with QA best practices, methodologies and technologies, and continue to improve the QA processes across the team

  • Innovate constantly and maintain the technical edge

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of Ally Invest's QA Testing practices and test suites.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Gatling performance testing

  • Knowledge of performance testing software is a plus (Gatling, Postman, Taurus, Blazemeter, JMeter)

  • Experience with building complex Selenium tests utilizing C# methods and functions

  • Extensive experience in working as a QA Engineer/analyst in an agile environment

  • Expertise with all aspects of testing, including functional, exploratory and regression testing

  • Experience in testing REST API's, using browser diagnostic tools, inspecting logs etc.

  • Ability to make independent decisions

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a strong desire to provide an exceptional customer experience

  • Detailed and results oriented and able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, support business critical applications

  • Ability to diagnose and identify performance and stability issues in large, complex applications

  • Skilled in working across organizational boundaries, bringing together people with diverse perspectives and experience to find solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal (business) communications skills

  • Solid interpersonal skills are required with demonstrated analytical experience

  • Knowledge of or experience working in financial services and/or other regulated environments

  • Brokerage licensing (current or past) is a very strong plus

  • All candidates must pass credit and criminal background checks to meet FINRA requirements.

This Sr. Apps Systems Engineer role will be responsible for overseeing and participating in automation design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. The role will oversee a team of automation engineers supporting coding scripts in Java to automate manual test cases as well as executing those scripts in an effort to test the functionality of Wells Fargo Enterprise Contact Technology applications. In this Lead QA engineer role, the candidate will utilize Selenium/Java, Empirix, VB.NET, TestNG, Jenkins, and LISA ITKO (CA DevTest) to automate and virtualize manual test cases that reside in HP Quality Center ALM. These tasks will be conducted throughout the software development lifecycle, including during the SIT development phase for any given project to support the Shift Left concept. Candidate will develop and provide recommendations to the existing framework for these highly visible mission critical applications. Candidate will serve as a primary escalation point for testing support/troubleshooting for less experienced staff and the overall platform.
