SENIOR PYTHON DEVELOPER

LOCATION: BURLINGTON, VERMONT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an energetic, technically skilled Senior PYTHON Developer to lead the development of cutting-edge analytics implementations, data integrations, and web platforms for our clients. This is an on-site position at our office in Burlington, Vermont. Core responsibilities include implementing analytics tagging systems, designing data synchronization systems via REST APIs, and developing lightweight data visualization tools to support our data science efforts. The ideal candidate is self-driven, with a passion for designing creative solutions using the latest technologies, and enjoys working with teams of developers and other technical staff to deliver outstanding results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize tag management systems along with custom JavaScript and modern JS libraries (such as React) to implement analytics tracking, including Adobe Analytics and Google Analytic, and marketing tags for our clients
  • Design and implement Data Layer-based analytics tracking, working with internal and external developers to standardize Data Layer specifications
  • Work with our Data Science and Development teams to automate data synchronization systems using web APIs
  • Build dynamic reporting systems and dashboards for clients
  • Develop reactive, secure web portal systems utilizing JavaScript frameworks
  • Design and assist with continuous integration, testing, and quality assurance initiatives across all development projects

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years’ web development experience in a Linux or Mac environment
  • 5+ years’ HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript experience in a professional environment
  • 3+ years’ experience implementing digital analytics tags, preferably in Adobe Analytics
  • 3+ years’ experience in AngularJS, Meteor, React, or equivalent development experience
  • 3+ years’ SQL experience
  • 3+ years’ in building REST APIs from the ground up, preferably in Python (Flask or Django) or JavaScript (Node.js)
  • 3+ years’ unit testing/continuous integration experience
  • 2+ years’ experience with Docker and Kubernetes is helpful, not required
  • Must enjoy working with team members and clients, demonstrate a strong ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines
  • R/Python programming experience a plus

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related field required
  • 3+ years’ experience with analytics and/or web development in a professional environment
  • Experience multitasking and prioritizing assignments with minimal guidance and instruction at times
