Description Responsible for guiding the day-to-day activities for a team of Leave Management Representatives and Specialist. Serve as positive influencer for team initiatives in relation to deadlines and providing high quality customer service. Administer leave claims in an HR Service Center Environment. * Oversee the distribution of daily claim work to assist in ensuring deadlines and goals, set by Mgr. of Leave Management, are met and update team on best practices in relation to claim management. * Influence team members to work together in conducting research, providing backup support, and managing inquiries and resolutions to escalations from HR Service Center front line. * Answers team member questions and concerns related to leave management, assist team members where quality and/or compliance improvement is needed, assist with resolving customer issues in efforts to avoid further escalations. * Ensure timely communication with Mgr. of Leave management on trends, escalations, team challenges, training opportunities, etc., while providing potential solutions. * Audit data entry to ensure accurate payroll processing and status changes across the team. * Process and administer leaves, including assisting employees in determining leave, sending leave packets to employees, continuously updating leave information in the leave absences system coding the employee timesheets efficiently and directing employees to appropriate resources for handling other leave-related transactions (i.e., benefit plan contributions). * Maintain verbal and written contact with employees on leave, covering expectations and detailed information, ensuring necessary status information is provided and/or received timely. * Coordinate sharing of information across various resources in HR, Safety, and external third-party administrators to assist with manage leave workflow. * Manage escalations resulting from calls, email, and/or site notifications. Problem solving pay issues through use of time coding system and remuneration statements in order to resolve payroll issues/escalations. * Generate monthly leave status reports to be used by the leave agents during their monthly status meeting with site HR * Provide additional support and be the main point of contact while the Mgr. of Leave Management's is out of the office. * Perform other duties as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications * Seven (7) years in-depth experience in Leave Management with knowledge in Family Medical Leave Act, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Workers' Compensation, Military Leave of Absences, Payroll/Time Coding in relation OR * Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and four (4) years of experience in Leave Management Preferred * High School diploma or GED * Experience with SAP * Payroll Knowledge * Experience supporting employees in a Service Center environment Criteria and Conditions * Maintain confidentiality; high degree of data accuracy, high quality customer service Freeport-McMoRan has reviewed the jobs at its various office and operating sites and determined that many of these jobs require employees to perform essential job functions that pose a direct threat to the safety or health of the employees performing these tasks or others.
