Job Description Summary:

This position is responsible for implementing Well-Being programs and initiatives at a specific Care Site or Business Unit, thereby supporting

the system well-being strategy established by the Senior Medical Director, Provider and Associate Well-Being. This position will lead care

site work groups and projects related to well-being, work directly with clinical and administrative teams to assess well-being, and implement

strategies to mitigate the local drivers of distress for associates and providers, and monitor progress toward well-being targets, including

assessment and tracking of program and outcome metrics. This position will work in a highly matrixed environment, reporting directly to the

Senior Medical Director, Provider and Associate Well-Being or Advisor, Provider and Associate Well-Being. They will also have a reporting

relationship to local care site/business unit leadership and will maintain a presence at their assigned care site to facilitate engagement and

trust.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

  • Bachelor's or clinical (ST, OT, BSN, etc.) degree

  • At least one year of experience in leading projects or portions of larger projects

  • At least one year of experience designing, implementing, and assessing effectiveness of programming, including designing surveys and data analysis

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people in both individual and group settings

  • Exhibits a consistent commitment to continuous improvement, including demonstrated skills in quality/process improvement and/or Lean methodologies

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

The ideal candidate would have a background in clinical care delivery (i.e.: RN, PT/OT/ST, Pharm), an advanced degree (i.e.: Masters) in an area of clinical expertise, business administration, health care administration, quality improvement/process improvement, and experience in leading initiatives or research in well-being, burnout, or compassion fatigue.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

The ideal candidate would have experience with accreditation and regulatory bodies, such as the ACGME or Joint Commission, be comfortable interacting with front line staff, and have experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects in a highly matrixed environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Program Development/Execution/Assessment (50%)

  • Collaboratively supports implementation of the system strategic plan and roadmap for associate and provider well-being by leading local efforts at a dedicated care site/business unit.

  • Provides leadership and oversight for program development and implementation at their care site

  • Serves as a consultant to departments at their assigned care site to assess processes, programming, and workflows that may impact well-being; recommends evidence-based tactics to alleviate work-related stressors

  • Tracks program data and outcome metrics for their assigned care site; shares data and success locally within their care site/business unit and to system well-being leadership

  • Escalates frontline feedback to system well-being team to enhance future strategic planning and program development

Collaboration/Partnership (30%):

  • Partners effectively with internal stakeholders across their assigned care site/business unit to achieve goals (internal stakeholders include nursing, medical affairs, HR, mission/ministry, diversity and inclusion, OhioHealth learning, others)
  • Works with local leaders to identify and mitigate drivers of distress

Fiscal Management (10%)

  • Demonstrates financial stewardship

Other (10%)

  • Develops expertise in well-being, burnout, and compassion fatigue, especially as it relates to published best practices/national standards for supporting the healthcare work force

  • Cultivates effective communication to support working relationships

  • Works effectively with teams and departments across the organization
