Job Summary
The Senior Property Tax Analyst is responsible for processing Real Estate and Personal Property Tax payments for 450+ properties. The Senior Analyst will also process Personal Property Tax Returns for 150+ properties.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
A minimum 5 years of RE and PP tax experience
Experience in hospitality a plus
Ability to manage track multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills written and verbal.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and circumstances.
Proficiency in using Excel and Word plus adapt to other required applications.
Familiarity with JD Edwards accounting system is a plus.
Ability to maintain schedule of property tax payments to ensure timely filing.
Requires an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles reports and terminology.
Ability to work independently.
Communicate clearly with the accounting group and hotel owners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to the policies outlined in the Aimbridge Employee Handbook.
Maintain relationships and communication written & verbal between all levels of Aimbridge employees outside providers and government representatives.
All written and verbal communication should be professional clear and concise.
Adhere to policies and procedures and systems of internal control for each Tax Department functional area and corresponding services.
Adhere to Aimbridge document management and retention policies.
Develop working knowledge of Property tax processes to understand how to file and pay property tax returns timely.
Develop annual budget to be distributed to upper level management as well as hotel ownership groups.
Develop understanding of various systems used to calculate taxes.
Foster continuous improvement of the Tax Department team.
Extended hours may be required at times.
