Senior Property Accountant - Hybrid Position

We are growing! Our commercial real estate company in West Palm Beach is seeking a Senior Property Accountant. The candidate will be responsible for all day-to-day property accounting functions including implementing company’s financial policies and procedures, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, CAM reconciliation, budgets, fixed assets, financial reporting, and reporting to investors. This opportunity is a hybrid remote work position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for full cycle accounts receivable, accounts payable.
• Maintain, reconcile, and administrate all general ledger accounts.
• Prepare month-end close activities including balancing of books, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis for internal management and investors.
• Maintain fixed assets and prepare monthly depreciation reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with CAM reconciliations and budget reviews.
• Maintain financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure company maintains high compliance with GAAP.
• Provide management with timely reviews of organization’s financial status and progress.
• Assist with special projects as required.

Requirements

BS degree in Accounting, MBA a plus; 5+ years of post-graduate business property accounting experience, demonstrating extensive experience in A/R, A/P, General Ledger and strong financial reporting skills; Positive team player with strong people skills; Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities; Self-starter; must have ability to work independently with minimum supervision; Strong proficiency in MS Office - with advanced skill level in Excel Must be proficient in Yardi, MRI knowledge a plus; Excellent written and oral communication skills.
