The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall project management planning throughout the procurement and implementation phases of each project. The Project Manager will manage system implementations, major upgrades, and/or integration projects. Multiple projects are possible with parallel activities.<br><br></p> <p><strong>Minimum Project Management responsibilities include</strong></p> <p><strong>Overall Project Management:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the procurement phases of the project</li> <li>Work onsite with client management team, project team, steering committees and stakeholders</li> <li>Develop resource plans for implementation of any necessary tools to achieve goals</li> <li>Develop Project Charters to include definition of overall project scope and governance</li> <li>Create communication plans for the implementation of Project</li> <li>Establish, manage and continuously improve work plan management processes and controls to ensure the work plan is current</li> <li>Risk Management Plan development, monitoring and ongoing assessment</li> <li>Issue Management Plan development, monitoring and resolution on a timely basis</li> <li>Quality assurance/Quality control</li> <li>Direct and matrix level day-to-day staff work management, assignments, and duties to ensure work is performed at a high quality with on-time results</li> <li>Oversight of vendor performance</li> <li>Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships</li> <li>Project budget and spending plan development, monitoring and controls</li> <li>Routine and ad hoc status reports for client and leadership teams</li> <li>Develop resource plans for implementation of any necessary tools to achieve goals<br> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Project Plan and Schedules:</strong><br></p> <ul> <li>Address key project planning areas and supporting processes</li> <li>Use PMI best practices</li> <li>Use existing templates and processes of the client where applicable and possible</li> <li>Project plan should address and include the following at a minimum:<ul> <li>Issue Management</li> <li>Risk Management</li> <li>Communications</li> <li>Budget Management</li> <li>Schedule Management</li> <li>Stakeholder Management</li> <li>Monitor activities to ensure they are occurring as planned and deliverables are being met</li> <li>Ensure ongoing effectiveness of plan</li> </ul> </li> <li>Project work plan (schedule) should ensure at a minimum:<ul> <li>Tasks are documented with sufficient detail</li> <li>Resources are assigned to each task</li> <li>Deliverables are clearly identified</li> <li>Task durations are documented and realistic</li> <li>Task dependencies are documented</li> <li>The documented work plan is achievable with a high degree of certainty</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <p><strong>Position Requirements </strong><br></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree</li> <li>Project Management Certification ( PMP ) through PMI</li> <li>Willing to work onsite in Portland, OR</li> <li>5 years or more experience managing technology projects</li> <li>5 years or more Project Management experience<br> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Over 5 years of experience managing large, highly complex, visible projects</li> <li>Experience leading the application of Agile methodologies</li> <li>State, public or Federal Government IT Project Management experience; Oregon State government experience will have priority</li> <li>Experience in procurement and contract management (development, evaluation, administration and closeout)</li> </ul> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>Liberum offers a comprehensive benefits package with full medical, dental, life, short term disability coverage and 401k.</p> Liberum Portland OR
