WSP is currently initiating a search for a Sr. Project Manager - (within the Project Controls Unit) with a Scheduling and IT Application Implementation emphasis for our Client's Albany, NY Field Office. Your Impact
Job Description:
Provide assistance to New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Project Manager as directed
Development/management of the design & procurement process into the OGS Project Work Plan System
Oversite of design schedule development
Analysis of the project lifecycle planning model
Provide enterprise portfolio support
Create/manage design & procurement staff user accounts within the Project Work Plan System
Provide reporting solutions to Director of Project Controls & Executive staff of overall project portfolio
Assist in integration process between Project Management Software and Project Work Plan System
Develop/Manage Earned Value Management process for awarded projects
Assisting the project controls team in implementing processes to optimize efficiencies and embed quality.
Work with subject matter experts (SME's) in estimating, risk management and cost management to ensure consistencies across other project controls disciplines for project and program level reporting.
Utilizing productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) to document information, findings, observations, recommendations.
Undertake any other duties, both planned and ad hoc, as required or requested
Performs other duties as assigned.
Potential travel occasionally for meetings/training may be required, vehicle will be necessary with valid driver's license.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Business.
Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience in Project Controls.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency necessary in Oracle Primavera P6.
Proficiency necessary in Microsoft software including Word/Excel/Outlook.
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver's license - Occasional travel within the region may be required.
Must be available to work alternate work hours on as needed basis.
Proven ability to adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
This hire will be contingent upon client selection and successful background check.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.
