Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in their Morristown Office. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead mid to large multidiscipline transportation projects.

Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):

Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety.

• Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements.

• Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget.

• Responsible for client satisfaction.

• Provide team leadership.

• Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians

• Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model

• Assists with the implementation of the New jersey/New York Area marketing and business development goals

• Assists with writing proposals and making presentations

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

• Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility

• Perform Independent Reviews of major projects

• Served as lead designer on projects as required

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field required

• 10+ plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects

• Strong communications skills

• Project management and contract administration experience

• Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments

• Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates

• Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software

• Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology

• Licensed NJ Professional Engineer required

• Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for NJ Turnpike Authority, NJDOT and local agencies

• Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
