About The Role

The Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Field Operations will manage, plan, organize, monitor, and assign projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and meeting all necessary objectives. The Senior Project Manager will manage project tasks and oversee workflow from project concept to implementation. The role will perform essential functions like project planning, monitoring and controlling scope, scheduling milestones, and communicating issues and risks throughout the project life cycle. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, senior leadership, site champions, and customer executives to implement automated solutions from approved solutions to close out at customer sites.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assign, manage, and oversee project tasks and work, and control project execution

  • Communicate and report project progress, metrics, issues, and risk to stakeholder, customers, and senior management

  • Performs analysis on overall project performance to ensure adherence to scope and timeline

  • Lead and provide direction and guidance for a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management

  • Develop project charters, and use planning tools to manage against the scope, milestones, timelines and deliverables of projects of varying size and complexity

  • Establish and monitor timelines for defined projects, determine priorities and manage risks within defined projects

  • Use good judgment on when to escalate issues and options

  • Establishes and manages risk mitigation and issue resolution plans

  • Prepare and manage project documents and artifacts according to standards and procedures outlined in the project life cycle methodology

  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills, including the ability to see the overall picture

  • Challenge "business as usual" using a fact-based, objective mindset

  • Develop strong working relationships with internal staff to ensure effective communication with all related functional areas

  • Ability to collaborate with internal/external customers and manage technical aspects of projects

  • Together with other PMs, works on establishing standard processes and procedures

  • Experience working with customers to provide quotes, manage POs, recognize and initiate change orders is preferred

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years serving as a Project Manager on mid-size complex projects

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering or Project Management

  • Proficient with Project Management tools

  • Experience in managing different levels of leadership team engagement on a regular basis

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills

  • Effective at mitigating issues and resolving conflict

  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to mult-task, prioritize, and work efficiently while preserving accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to remove hurdles and motivate internal and external parties to meet project deadlines

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Hybrid obligation, with the ideal candidate domiciled in the greater Pittsburgh area

  • Expertise in project management methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, and Agile methodologies

  • Expertise of full project/product lifecycle, problem-solving, data analysis, and proficiency with project management tools

  • PMP certification
