CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management ofenvironmental remediation projects

  • Set and manage the technicalscope and budget for remediation projects

  • Manage consultants retained tocarry out the needed activities (investigation, remediation, riskassessment evaluations, etc.)

  • Understand and manage thebusiness considerations of other departments within Sherwin-Williams

  • Provide technical review of allsubmittals

  • Prepare project proposals, costestimates, bid contracts, and project documents to support other

Corporate departments within the company

  • Update management and ensure allactivities are conducted in compliance with applicable requirements. Must be proficient with applicable

Federal regulations and ability to work within State regulatoryrequirements

  • Serve as Company representativein meetings / negotiations with Regulatory Agency personnel

  • Provide backup support to other deptPMs, as needed

  • Serve as mentor to juniorstaff

  • Conduct environmental duediligence of potential acquisition targets

  • Use the appropriate methods ofobtaining due diligence records, which may vary from conducting onlineresearch of publically available databases, reviewing acquisition targetprovided files, ordering ECR/ERIS or similar reports, site visits, and/orretaining and managing consultants to perform Phase I/Phase IIEnvironmental Site Assessments

  • Provide written summary ofresults and recommendation to management when requested

  • Prepare project proposals, costestimates, bid contracts, and project documents to support other

Corporate departments within the company

  • Prepare environmental liabilityreserve estimates for assigned projects

  • Use best professional judgmentas well as consultant proposals to prepare environmental liabilityreserves for applicable projects

  • Use SW-specific format tomaintain a consistent approach to sites

  • On a quarterly basis, review andupdate liability reserve estimates and provide peer review of departmentliability reserve estimates

  • Provide supporting documentationas requested by third-party auditors

  • Manage the environmental decommissioningand demolition of former manufacturing sites

  • Prepare scope of work and obtaincontractor quotes for each decommissioning site

  • Work with the decommissioningteam to manage daily decommissioning activities

  • Coordinate with the

Environmental Group for completion of applicable post-closure reporting

  • Coordinate with Finance to meetannual financial assurance requirements

  • Prepare and submit annualfinancial assurance documents for applicable sites

  • Coordinate with Finance todetermine the appropriate financial mechanisms based on Company financialperformance, financial risk management, and site project status

  • Act as an auditor in CorporateEHS audits of manufacturing and distribution sites

  • Achieve "Qualified Auditor"status by shadowing auditors and attending SW Auditor Training

  • Support the audit program byparticipating on an as-needed basis as an environmental subject matterexpert

  • Prepare a written summary ofaudit findings within an audit

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degreefrom an accredited institution in an environmental-related science (e.g.Chemistry, Geology, Biology,) or engineering discipline (Geotechnical, Civil,Environmental)

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree froman accredited institution in an environmental-related science or engineeringcertification

KNOWLEDGE &EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Minimumof 12 years of environmental related experience with increasing level ofresponsibility, including management of projects

  • Experiencein multi-media environmental compliance audits of manufacturing and solid andhazardous waste faculties

  • Experiencein conducting Phase 1 and 2 site investigations;

  • Managementof spill response actions (as a result of transportation accidents, fires orother catastrophic events);

  • Implementationof complex remediation projects and facility decommissioning and demolition

  • Provennegotiation skills in dealing with regulatory agencies and third party entities

  • Familiaritywith estimating remediation project costs for environmental liability reservesand retired assets as well as projecting acquisition environmental liabilities

  • Excellentoral and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • 7 years ofexperience in the paint or chemical industry or other manufacturing setting

  • Experience serving asa Project Lead/Project Manager

  • OSHA 40 hour(HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 10 hour (Construction Safety) certifications

VIEW JOBS 3/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-15T00:00 Position Overview: Eaton Corporation's Information Technology team is seeking a Senior Industry Project Manager to join our Product Operations Center of Excellence (PROCOE) Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role is based in Beachwood, OH. The Senior Industry Project Manager will you will lead large enterprise/regional transformational projects that impact Eaton's engineering and manufacturing functions. You will also plan, control and execute project requirements following Eaton-prescribed process (ProLaunch and PMBOK) to ensure business objectives are met. The Senior Industry PM will partner with Resource Managers to staff projects and clearly articulate project team roles – both functional and technical. This person will also be responsible for developing and managing detailed project plans (with clear critical path) and budgets. The Senior Industry PM will manage the scope/requirements and ensure all agreed to deliverables are met while mitigating risks through robust plans, and also be responsible for organizational communication, training, adoption and change management. Vendor management is essential. Essential Responsibilities: * Provide project leadership by adhering to standard departmental policies, processes and documentation guidelines for project delivery * Work with customers and technical resources in developing project plans, work breakdown structures, critical path and detailed costs. * Perform risk management planning, risk identification and mitigation planning * Develop communication strategies and leading communications with senior executives, mid-level or first line leaders and key stakeholders globally * Drive process changes and organization change management * Ensure sign-off on all major system deliverables by stakeholders * Monitor and report on schedule and budget variances * Ensure quality delivery of team member tasks in accordance to the plan * Manage third party suppliers. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience is required * Minimum of 5 years leading major enterprise IT system implementations, preferably SAP/Oracle ERP, Enovia PLM or manufacturing shop floor transformations, in large, multi-national organizations. * Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without sponsorship. * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
