Project Portfolio Management (PPM) seeks a competent and energetic Senior Project Manager or Principal Project Manager, who will report to the Head of Business Operations and provide project leadership and support to the Oceanside organization, including the following responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Business Operations with potential dotted line reporting to the PTA organization, collaborating with other Project Managers and team of subject matter experts to provide project management to the operations in Oceanside. Projects are in the area of Technical transfer and GMP Process areas and may include the following responsibilities:
Works closely with Project Portfolio Management Team (PPM), Project Delivery (PD), Procurement and Finance.
Provide proven leadership and project management for site and corporate driven projects such as tech transfers, facility modifications, business projects and new construction. Projects are mostly cross-functional in nature.
Responsible for execution, monitoring, control and closure of a project to the approved scope, schedule and budget.
Independently identify and manage program objectives, work plans, timelines, budgets, providing formal and informal status updates to stakeholders as needed.Has a strong understanding of costs and estimating; holds vendors accountable for missed milestones and impacts to costs.
Lead scenario planning efforts to prepare teams for differing outcomes at key milestones
Represent organization as a prime contact on projects.
Plan for, and control internal and external project resources to best meet project objectives.
Provide leadership in developing, managing, and improving project delivery processes per Company standards.
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, including inter-organizational impact and developing solutions to a variety of complex problems and initiatives.
Ability to resolve any type of conflict to ensure successful delivery of a project.
Communicate project objectives, risks and success criteria
Contribute to successful execution of Project Management department goals and activities
Establish and maintain functionally integrated program schedules in accordance with established structures to enable accurate project analyses, identification of critical path activities and areas of resource constraint.
Align project team and stakeholder expectations for a successful outcome. Anticipate - identify, monitor, and respond to risk with appropriate mitigation planning and tracking. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Administration.
Ability to develop into project engineering/management with associate processes and documentation
Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in a timely manner
Ability to communicate information accurately and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience, in particular Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, SHE, Facilities & Engineering, and Corporate Engineering
Must be able to function in a team environment, interacting with various functional groups, as well as in a self-managed environment
Highly self-motivated, has excellent organization and communication skills, and is able to work independently or part of a multi-disciplinary team.Experienced with Agile Project Management techniques.
Experience with Project Management, Engineering Change Control and other work processes and documentation in a GMP environment.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly recommended.
