Job Functions

As a key member of the Toro Logistics team, this role is accountable for managing and advancing projects and analytics across Integrated Supply Chain at The Toro Company (TTC). You will apply industry best practices in strategy development, data collection, and analytics along with deep functional excellence in supply chain and operations to pinpoint optimized go forward pathways that meet customer expectations while minimizing end to end cost. This role must establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers to support and advance The Toro Company's (TTC) supply chain.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

Project Management:

Act as a project manager for various cross-functional projects, overseeing project planning, execution, and cost down opportunities. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Partner with cross-functional teams to address critical business issues and opportunities for data-driven optimization and decision making.

Use procurement processes, tools, and systems, and demonstrate expertise in supply chain strategy, development, and execution.

Provide structure for continuous assessment of carrier performance and partner with Transportation Operations to suggest improvements as needed.

Suggests innovative problem solving.

Suggests ideas and implements process improvements to better streamline efficiencies in the department.

Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Supply Chain Visibility & Analytics:

Lead the continued development for the next generation of reports, dashboards, and analytical approaches to assess the performance of our organization.

Develop and maintain an analytical framework to monitor key supply chain metrics, performance trends, and identify areas for improvement.

Develop leadership-level presentations to communicate and achieve consensus for recommendations.

Strategic Initiatives:

Take a leadership role in key strategic initiatives, providing guidance on data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Lead Network Design business case development and selection of partner; Develop short- and long-term strategies for design execution and success across manufacturing, distribution and customer channels.

Ensures appropriate communication and governance through the preparation and presentation of formal financial information, data modeling, reports and documentation to stakeholders and leadership.

Work collaboratively across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the supply chain and operations.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • B.S. in Supply Chain, Operations, International Business, or a related field.

  • 5 plus years' experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Analytics.

  • Project Management experience strongly preferred

  • Intermediate proficiency in developing with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo, QlikView) and Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of transportation and transportation related systems, preferably Oracle TMS.

  • Knowledge of SAP or ERP system.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute initiatives to drive business growth.

  • Ability to organize, summarize and present in a succinct manor.

  • The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
