Our primary purpose is to ensure operational excellence and drive growth for McDonald's through technology. The team actively supports the implementation of key critical initiatives across the global organization.
Under general direction of a PMO Director, Portfolio Manager, Initiative Leader, or business leader, the Senior Project Manager leads and leads high-priority / very complex projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration, with adherence to quality, deadline and budget standards!
Lead execution of tasks to achieve the project goal.
Lead changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques to keep the project plan accurate.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in order to supervise the progress of the project, identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all partners.
Align partners and team members by ensuring a common understanding of project plan expectations.
May be responsible for managing/ recording detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions with partners to establish the project results, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.
Work to implement approved actions and workarounds to mitigate risks
Improve team performance by leading, mentoring, and training, and communicating effectively. Treat people well.
Document high-level risks, assumptions, and constraints using historical data and experienced judgment to understand project limitations.
Lead key findings from project retrospectives.
May serve as backup to the Program Manager.
Act as a mentor leading others with the adoption of PMO processes and standards.
Have experience doing the following:
Defining project roles, responsibilities, methodology, and tools.
Providing input on delivery model and standard methodologies.
Supporting, leading, or ensuring the standardization of processes for implementing projects across all clients, in accordance with standard methodologies.
Identifying, and/or elevating ideas for improving the delivery model offer and methodologies.
