Position Overview As Navistar continues to innovate and update our product line driven by trends such as electrification, autonomy, and connectivity, we are looking for a bright, talented, and experienced Engineer Program Manager that enjoys working with cross-functional teams and is passionate about implements new designs and systems in Navistar vehicles to continue to improve customer satisfaction and vehicle performance. The Engineering Program Manager works within the cross-functional program team to ensure engineering designs deliver the cost and quality targets of the program. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate engineering effort through the various phases of assigned program(s) Act as liaison between engineering design development teams and the program team Plan engineering development activities to meet the program needs Develop and maintain engineering development budget Manage staffing of design engineers through System Chief Engineers Act as key engineering representative assigned to program team Ensure engineering activity meets program Cost, Quality and Delivery goals Report status of design activities and issues to engineering leadership Ensure product is fully validated and meets performance objectives

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop vehicle-level solutions Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree At least 2 years of technical project/program management experience OR Master's degree OR At least 4 years of technical project/program management experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Lead Enterprise Excellence for the US Planning Center * Support US Planning Center through ad-hoc scenarios and reports * Responsible for managing multiple projects, from beginning to end, with accountability for project execution * Demonstrate stewardship and provide leadership to meet Division strategies and business objectives * Deliver project excellence by incorporating best practices in project management to meet and exceed customer needs * Identify process issues and recommend improvements to senior leaders * Recommend and implement PM strategies and enhancements to improve efficiency * Act as a primary point of contact for project reporting and updates * Perform project/portfolio management and analyses * Assist in idea capture and cataloging activities of new ideas MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead Enterprise Excellence for the US Planning Center * Ensure project scope and success criteria are clearly established; develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables * Initiate, lead and communicate project assessments and lessons learned * Establish clear priorities * Ensure team is working within project scope and effectively coordinate activities of the team to meet project milestones * Proactively identify changes in project scope and assure appropriate measures are taken to reassess and amend requirements, budget and timeline * Lead and participate in the development and implementation of innovation plans * Ensure alignment with key planning processes, such as business planning, brand planning, customer planning, S&OP and corporate project reporting * Provide support in compiling and reporting project requirements * Create and deliver project review presentations * Maintain documentation and provide data management for project deliverables; identify communication plans for knowledge sharing across functional areas and project teams * Document cross-functional project plans in PM software to develop estimates and manage resources to deliver project objectives * Manage cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks * Track overall project budget and metrics, as required * Proactively identify, monitor and manage project opportunities/issues/risks * Resolve conflict within the project * Work directly with functional area manages to resolve issues that impact completion of project objectives: determine when to escalate issues to appropriate levels of management * Provide training/coaching on project management methodologies and processes to meet organizational needs EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING * Bachelors degree required * Master's degree preferred * PMP (or equivalent) certification desirable Skills * Extensive knowledge of and competency in project management methodology and processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, working in teams, issues management, monitoring and reporting, and documentation * 3-5 years' experience in project leadership roles and or equivalent supply chain experience * Strategic, conceptual analytical thinking and decision-making skills * Critical thinking/problem-solving skills method * Ability to plan and facilitate meetings * Demonstrated expertise in leading teams * Ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups and influence the activities of others not in own reporting structure * Strong written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management * Technical background sufficient to understand issues involved with the project * Knowledge of the strategic and operational context of the projects * Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project and to advocate for responsible solutions to management * Adaptability and flexibility including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
