About the Role:
The Senior Project Manager manages new product introductions on a world-wide manufacturing basis. S/he project-manages the design and development of dispensing solutions as well as any future product category, including the cross-functional coordination of efforts throughout the organization to ensure that the targets for performance, quality, schedule, and cost are met.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
1.Develops and maintains project schedules in Microsoft Project or an equivalent program. Updates and adjusts the schedule as the project advances, using it as a tool to maintain the targeted end date and to communicate status to key stakeholders.
2.Develops and maintains project budgets. This includes maintaining a target and actual value for capital expenses, labor, and unit cost. Stays abreast of all issues that may impact these and work with the technical leads to find solutions. Keep key stakeholders informed with periodic reports.
3.Prepares regular project status reports to keep both managers and key stake holders up to date on all issues and aspects of the project. Upon request, be prepared to give a more detailed explanation of status with detailed documentation.
4.Acquires input from functional areas to develop realistic project proposals that meet the needs of the key stake holders. This will include estimates on capital cost, unit cost, and schedule that will be used as a baseline to gauge project performance.
5.Identifies and minimizes risk to the requirements of the key stakeholders. Work with each functional area to develop a plan that will meet the project goals and milestones. As the project progresses be able to evaluate and then mitigate the perceived risks.
6.Actively seek to improve both the processes and tools used as a Project Manager. Work with managers and key stake holders to identify deficient areas in the product development process and devise strategies to address these deficiencies.
7.Works with internal or external suppliers to purchase, review, approve, and qualify new or existing tooling for assigned programs. Also reviews mold tooling prints and project-manages the mold development from design to production.

Responsibility for safety is an important part of the manager position at Hunter Industries. It can only be successful when each manager understands that they play a key role in the implementation of the company Injury and Illness Prevention Program and safety procedures.
They are to recognize hazards and correct unsafe conditions in a timely manner. They should set the tone for safety by personal example and commitment to following company safety policies. Manager personnel should investigate work related injuries and illnesses and take corrective and preventive action, including disciplining those who break the rules.
Violators should be treated with fairness and firmness. Requirements Education/Training Required:
BS degree in engineering and/or equivalent years of related experience within an injection molding / tooling environment. PMP certification is desirable.
Minimum of seven years' experience in design and/or project management.

KSA #1: Knowledge of mechanical design, injection molding, and manufacturing processes.

KSA #5: Superior organizational skills to manage project details.

KSA #8: Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite.
KSA #9: Intermediate proficiency with Solid Works, with the ability to manipulate files in Solid Works.
Ability to sit to use a computer to perform scheduling and planning activities and to attend meetings.
Ability to stand and walk to gain access to different areas of the building and campus.
Ability to climb stairs to gain access to other work areas.
Finger dexterity sufficient to use precision measuring instruments, to complete paperwork activities and use a computer.
Visual acuity sufficient to evaluate and inspect parts, to use a computer and to read written materials.
Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
