The Fortive/ASP team is looking to add a Project Manager to lead the Operations Workstream teams through the TSA, Day2 integration, and SAP deployment.

In this role, you will lead multiple Global Operations functions including Materials/Planning, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, and Plant Operations. A primary role will be to lead our Operations SAP integration efforts across Planning, Manufacturing, Master Data, Procurement, and Warehousing, and across our global operations in Europe, Asia, and North America. Operations leadership is required on several Transitional Service Agreement exits, including Japan 3rd Party Products, Demand Planning, and outsourcing initiatives for Japan Biocide manufacturing, Japan Relabeling, Capital Inspection, and Heatsealer Repair services.

The Operations Workstream Leader will report to the VP of Global Operations and become a member of the ASP Global Operations Senior Leadership Team. As a member of the Operations Senior Leadership Team, you will help develop and implement project plans that meet Global Operations objectives. As the lead Operations Workstream Leader, your scope of responsibilities include, but are not limited to: leading Operations workstreams on the critical transition projects, working with the Global Operations staff on defining objectives for each workstream, planning and executing the project plan on schedule and resource budget.

  • Leading the cross functional operations teams to deliver aggressive project objectives

  • Will lead resources across multiple workstreams to ensure the completion of program plans and tasks as required

  • Work across functions to ensure functional are optimally managed and implemented

  • Work with designated ASP teams and leaders to accomplish project objectives

  • Interact with J&J team(s) to obtain required information to successfully implement project plans and meet program objectives

  • Create visual management tracking mechanisms to ensure effective progress against key goals and assignments

  • Create and track Key Process Indicators (KPI's), develop "burndown" lists as needed to track progress

  • Coordinate with global regulatory, quality, and medical affairs teams to ensure plans are aligned with requirements

  • Acquiring, aligning and prioritizing resources and budgets to meet project/initiative/workstream objectives

  • Championing and extending our FBS and Lean Culture. Drive effective daily management and visual management that are at the point of impact on these critical projects

  • Communicate project status to other workstream leaders and L1 leadership team as needed on status, actions, and risks

  • Escalate and resolve critical project risks to ensure successful completion of project plans to objectives

Education:

Required Minimum Education 1 or Equivalent

  • BS Degree in Engineering or Microbiology/Biology is required, although others will be considered depending upon experience.

  • A minimum of 8 years of business experience is required;

  • A minimum of five years of business experience leading acquisition integration projects or other critical projects/initiatives

  • Working knowledge of FDA, ISO and BSI requirements is preferred.

  • Experience within manufacturing preferred. Cross functional management experience required; with experiences in manufacturing engineering, production operations, and various materials management roles desired

  • Experience working with Japanese culture desired

Years of Related Experience:

  • 10 yrs. of progressive operations management experience required, preferably in the medical device field

  • Experience as a Project Manager (4-6 years)

The successful candidate will have both project and managerial responsibilities for a team of Research Project Managers (RPMs) in executing Research governance and supporting Research Teams (RT) through the advancement of our exciting and expansive CAR T and TCR pipelines and next generation adaptive immunotherapy. The successful person is responsible for the following deliverables, including but not limited to: * Effectively provide leadership to Research Project Management function through * Imparting strategy and knowledge of pharmaceutical drug development, especially in discovery research, preclinical development, and translational sciences/medicine in cell therapy, immunology, oncology or related fields. * Demonstrating strong project management technical and soft skills. * Building a high value-added team, developing/coaching staff and aligning on best practices. * Proactively lead the development project management best practices, tools, templates and processes to expand the existing Research Governance, and provide additional structure, consistency and guidance to support optimizing the productivity of RTs, including * Generic timelines * Presentation templates * Checklists for key milestones * Team collaborations tools (e.g. SharePoint, and MS Team) * Risk analysis * Develop, track and report holistic Research project status/dashboard to inform stakeholders * Successfully implement/communicate Research Governance roadmap and business process to * Research Teams (RTs) * Key internal and external (to Research) stakeholders * Support Research Teams (RTs) * Provide Research Teams with project management leadership and insights in research strategy and process to guide and organize the Research Team. * Support the development of Research strategy and plan according to Research Governance, including project planning and necessary scenario development, planning and analysis. * Organize and manage research project team meetings, ensuring timely, efficient, and action-oriented operations. * Work in partnership with project lead and functional leads, to develop, identify risks and opportunities, implement corrective actions and execute on the project plan and strategy. * Manage external collaboration project and all associated interactions (e.g. meetings, communications etc.) with the partners when necessary. * Direct research project communications and ensures that all stakeholders (internally and externally) are fully informed and knowledgeable of project activities and their status. * Manage research project team through stage gate reviews toward milestone completion. * Liaise with cross-functional and functional stakeholders (e.g. Program Manager, CMC Program Manager, Alliance Manager, Legal and Regulatory representatives etc.) to execute on cross-functional deliverables and resolve issues. * Implement best-in-class project management processes and tools/templates such as project schedules, Gantt charts, action/decision logs, risk registers, SharePoint site etc. * Manage and track non-clinical and clinical study report deliverables for IND and BLA filings. * Provide inputs on behalf of the RT for the LE process. * Lead/manage Research strategic initiatives and/or governance reviews Requirements: * 12+ years of relevant experience and a BS in immunology/cell biology or related fields or; 10+ years of relevant experience and a MS in immunology/cell biology or related fields or MBA; 6+ years of relevant experience and a PhD in immunology/cell biology or related field or a PharmD, DVM or MD degree. A solid scientific background is a must.
