The Creative department at FTD Companies is looking for a Project Manager to help lead and support the efficient flow of projects in and out of the department. The Project Manager will oversee project scheduling and resource planning for the ProFlowers Brand. This requires logging, scheduling, and tracking projects as well as running kickoff meetings and essential follow-ups. Reviewing Creative Briefs from Marketing, the Project Manager will help forecast work and resource planning with the Creative Director. He or she will work closely with the Creative and Marketing departments to ensure projects are prioritized and well understood.

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in managing projects, timelines and maintaining due dates and deliverables across departments. The ability to problem solve and make sure all parties are delivering on their part is critical in this role. The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude mixed with the ability to manage expectations, well organized, familiar with project management best practices and strong communication skills.


  • Process incoming project requests.

  • Assign projects to creative teams based on workload, as well as provide the status of plans to team managers.

  • Review creative briefs and assimilate the detailed requirements, making sure that all elements are provided prior prioritization and assignment.

  • Scope project and resource needs.

  • Drive daily schedules of a creative team with consideration of people and time

  • Run kickoff meetings when required.

  • Schedule and track multiple projects simultaneously, as well as close projects when they are completed.

  • Work with Marketing to review overall seasonal project needs and do resource planning with the Creative Director.

  • Work within our project planning tool to generate reports and track resource utilization.

  • Work on behalf of the client with the creative resources to ensure solutions are provided for client concerns.

  • Work cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, and Merchandising.

  • Act as a liaison between project key stakeholders, sharing deadlines and risks to the project.

  • Any additional efforts required to support the brand project deliverables.


  • 3+ years of project management experience at an agency or with an in-house creative department

  • Must be proficient with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).

  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Structured and logical thinker, precise with information and an eye for accuracy and consistency

  • Comfortable with planning and forecasting for resource capacity needs

The purpose of this position is to manage and lead a staff responsible for individual, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. Characteristics of responsible projects: Complexity: High Risk: High Duration: Long term (months to year(s)) Value: Typically >$2 Million USD ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Manages all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout. * Demonstrates capability to read, understand and apply standard to complex documents affecting real estate projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys and drawings. * Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification. * Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification process; conducts standard to complex request for proposals; completes bid analysis; leads evaluation interviews, recommends resources to clients. * Leads project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team) providing project guidance and direction to achieve project goals. * Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings. * Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely and coordinated. * Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule. * Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk. * Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks. * Demonstrates a knowledge of projects & project management within the context of business results (business case, larger economic implications, business risk, etc). * Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. Manages 3rd party project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team). Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, coaching, and motivating team members.
