The Cooper Tire Engineering Services Group is a global support organization. This Project Manager position within Global Engineering Services will conduct detailed project management for equipment projects, and manage parts of the global appropriations plan. This includes developing detailed project schedules, managing projects to the schedules, managing budgets and spends, leading cross functional teams, managing external resources, plant layouts, and providing support to multiple facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Project Engineering Manager for Global Engineering Services

  • Refine project scopes, develop and manage complete project plans including budgets and schedules (Microsoft Project) ensuring that project timelines and budgets are met.

  • Manage multiple projects / priorities.

  • Manage contractual relationships with external vendors.

  • Determine, define and communicate clear scopes of work for external vendors.

  • Provide engineering support to all plants and facilities within the company.

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams.

  • Build and implement the best practices and standards for all projects.

  • Order material and services using company procurement system.

  • Prepare reports to keep management apprised of key projects.

  • Utilize AutoCAD for plant layouts.

  • Manage the Global Appropriations Plan.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in engineering field (Mechanical or Electrical).

  • 5+ Years of Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Experience with managing equipment projects, including ability to learn complex equipment and processes.

  • Experience managing multiple outside vendors and consultants.

  • Proven track record of implementing projects on schedule and per budget.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Strong attention to details.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects / priorities.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Self-motivated, service oriented, hands-on performer with the ability to lead and prioritize.

  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently on assigned projects.

Function Overview Whirlpool is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer for our Findlay, Ohio location. This EHS professional will lead, direct, and support the initiatives to ensure a culture where environmental compliance, protection and reduction of risk are a priority. This position reports directly to the plant's EHS Leader. Candidate will provide leadership and direction for EHS programs at the site and promote a proactive EHS culture and will also assure compliance with all federal, state and local environmental and EHS regulations, and company EHS policies. Job Description * Implements and maintains company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations. * Responsible for preparing, maintaining and implementing EHS policies and procedures as required * Provides site leadership for World Class Manufacturing including management and delivery of associated projects/targets. * Facilitates tracking of EHS data & responsible for execution of associated targets * Supports compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. * Responsible for participating in and/or leading risk assessments for both machinery and job tasks (JSRA) * Actively participate in team meetings & demonstrate willingness to partner closely with Operations Directly * Ability to manage functional site costs, process payments and track EHS spending * Responsible for creating and/or conducting various training presentations related to EHS and World Class Manufacturing * Capable of leading cross functional teams while driving results towards continual improvement of the EHS program and WCM * Conducts various EHS audits including but not limited to OSHA compliance, EPA compliance, internal procedure compliance, machine guarding, LOTO energy control plans and authorized employees, etc. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree * 5+ years working in a Safety or EHS role Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Safety or Environmental Science, or Engineering * Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification such as CSP, ASP, SMS * Experience preparing/reviewing reports and permits listed above Health and Safety * Experience in broad problem solving * Ability to utilize Google computer applications * Customer focused and team-oriented; able to lead projects to drive sustainable business solutions RSRWH About Us Whirlpool Corporation (NYSE: WHR) is the world's leading major home appliance company, with approximately $21 billion in annual sales, 92,000 employees and 70 manufacturing and technology research centers in 2017.
