The Role

Senior Project Manager

  • Commercial Interiors/Office Renovations

Working in a client facing role, responsible for the management of an extended professional team of consultants, contractors and stakeholders, leading multiple fit-out projects for our corporate real estate clients.

The work will be fast paced commercial interiors/office renovations for any one of many major international corporations that we partner with globally.

The opportunity is to act as the key client interface ensuring that the client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added project management service. The future will allow for growth and a full team to develop around the successful candidate.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety are considered as a priority throughout all stages of the projects life cycle.

  • Developing a high performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners.

  • Developing the clients brief and delivery strategy, leading the design management, procurement and execution of the scheme through the established supply chain partners.

  • Developing the project management strategy in line with the Mace way and the client requirements.

  • Working closely with the client, tenants, sub consultants and contractors to ensure timely, cost effective delivery.

  • Coordinating and managing multiple stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to build robust, long term relationships and integrated teams.

  • Acting as technical advisor to the client.

A hands on approach is essential and it is important that you will not only be client facing, but can demonstrate a good level of confidence and comfort working directly with our clients teams.

Health and Safety Objectives:

  • Assisting in developing workplace safety procedures.

  • Promoting workplace safety standards and procedures.

  • Reporting any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents immediately.

  • Assisting the safety team in achieving high standards of workplace safety.

  • Continuously promote and influence a positive safety culture.

The Requirements

Your Experience, Knowledge and Skills Need to Include:

  • Previous experience in high-end build-out projects for corporate clients.

  • Experience in leading build-out, refurbishment, restack projects through design, procurement, delivery and hand over.

  • Experience in managing all aspects of a fit-out project including interior design and FF&E.

  • Experience working in a pressurized environment and occupied buildings.

  • Excellent technical grounding in all aspects of project management.

  • Use of Microsoft Office suite programs.

  • Being an effective communicator, with excellent influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain key client relationships.

  • Results and quality focused individual.

  • Detailed knowledge and appreciation of health and safety.

Qualifications

  • A degree qualification is preferred but is not essential.

  • Professional memberships are an advantage but are not essential.

This person will be accountable for the successful delivery of technical solutions through effective planning and execution throughout all phases of our project management methodology. They will be responsible for managing assigned resources, effectively tracking budgets and financial forecasts, creating and tracking detailed project plans, effectively leading and facilitating project meetings as well as proactively controlling project scope, risks and issues. This position is expected to provide timely status reports to all stakeholders and escalate issues to the appropriate management level. The Senior IT Project Manager will be accountable for all projects in the US Commercial Operations portfolio, either through direct management of projects or by sourcing and overseeing contract Project Managers. Key Responsibilities: * Define, plan, and direct the execution of a broad range of technical projects, while balancing the competing demands of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, and risk * Identify, acquire, and lead multifunctional project teams * Manage a portfolio of projects, in addition to individual projects assigned to the position * Ensure project objectives/requirements are clear and agreed to by all stakeholders * Manage relationships with various technology and business communities to achieve project objectives * Facilitate project management activities across the entire project management methodology * Establishes and maintains effective communication for assigned projects and with dependent projects * Ensure successful and timely completion of deliverables * Track progress against baseline schedule * Plan, baseline and control costs to ensure projects are completed within approved budget * Identify and apply systematic quality activities to ensure that projects employ all processes needed to meet Computer System Validation directives * Suggest improvements where necessary / appropriate to improve operational efficiencies * Conduct risk management planning, identification, analysis and monitoring on projects * Formulate risk mitigation strategies and recommend solutions * Manage the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval, and ultimate disposition of project information and documentation necessary for successful communications across all stakeholders and any required updates to living system documents * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * 8+ years of experience as a successful Information Technology Project Manager using structured project management processes * Relevant Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, Life Sciences, Business; or equivalent experience Required. Post-graduate work in a related field is a plus. * Deep understanding of various SDLCs * Deep understanding of SCRUM/Agile projects * Demonstrated competency planning and tracking project schedules with clearly-defined critical paths * Proven ability to obtain results in a matrix environment * Track record of delivering projects on time and on budget * Ability to see the interrelationship of a project across "the big picture" and understand its dependency on other projects in the program as required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated success communicating across a variety of audiences, including business people and technologists (both up and down the organization) * Exceptional listening, problem solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills * Proven leadership abilities and emotional intelligence * Demonstrated success handling initiatives of high complexity and risk * Solid project management skills training * Ability to manage projects across global locations/time zones Preferred Qualifications: * PMP Certification * Certified SCRUM Master * Experience working at a Biotech/Pharma company * Experience deploying validated systems Roche is an equal opportunity employer.
