The position is within Global Capital Markets Operation Technology. Global Capital Markets and Operations Technology focuses on automating and modernizing operations and middle office platforms, while implementing and leveraging cross product shared services opportunities. We are looking for a creative and dynamic senior project manager for our client communication & exception management division who is very solution orientated and excellent in client communications. Exposure to our Markets Franchise and experience in Operations is a major plus.
This is a critical management role in the Markets Operations Technology organization, responsible to gather and document business user requirements and work closely with Business users and technology partners for quality and timely delivery.
The candidate is expected to manage a global team of technologists and analysts to perform current state and future state analysis, capture & prioritize business user requirements, and work with the development teams to deliver the most optimal solution within a limited timeframe. The candidate must be able to manage their team to deadlines and meet client commitments adhering to Citi's SMM standards and practices. This role will work very closely with Middle Office and Back Office Operations & Technology and must have a successful track record of large projects implementations. The role requires the ability to understand the technical details and front to back office processes for Trade Execution and Processing for different asset classes
Leads project teams in execution and delivery of solutions
Manages multiple priorities and provides work direction to the project team
Establishes and monitors short, mid-scale and complex project plans
Uses influence skills to consult with business partners and coach project team members
Fosters teamwork and spirit of collaboration with project team and business partners
Communicates status to customers, team, and executive management
Manage client and stake holder communication closely and record client feedback if any
Create and Manage Book of work for project deliverables and make sure alignment with the allotted budget.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3~5 years Technology management experience required.
Ability to develop process and data flow diagrams in Visio
Ability to query the database using SQL for data verification and validation
Strong analytical and communication skills
Good background working with quantitative data
Knowledge of Trade Processing functions across asset classes will be a big plus
Full knowledge and proficiency in the technology life cycle methodology from inception to transition to production and post-implementation.
Proven track record of designing and implementation of agile approach to delivery.
Proven participation in the management of multiple concurrent initiatives while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Ability to effectively work with a wide range of business units and technology groups
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute complex technical problems
Ability to work in an environment with challenging deadlines and across a large organization
Experience in test planning and oversight, and the ability to benchmark test plans against requirements
Ability to analyze business issues and develop solutions that require integration of technical, business and organizational knowledge
