Your new role

As our new Senior Project Manager, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing innovative and sustainable site solutions to an international client base. You will enhance our exceptional team's capacity to serve clients facing diverse environmental improvements and land redevelopment issues. This role is ideal for an individual who can apply their specialized knowledge in Remediation Design Engineering and Project Management to spearhead project teams primarily focused on ongoing environmental remediation and land redevelopment initiatives across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead an Engineering Design Team on high-priority projects including Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs, Remedial Actions, and post-remediation Operations & Maintenance.

  • Provide expert design solutions in the decontamination of soil, sediment, surface water and groundwater via methods like digging, encapsulation, containment, in-place and relocated treatment, and mitigation of underground vapors.

  • Offer design expertise across different markets, particularly in civil and stormwater management projects.

  • Manage the creation and completion of technical documents (including work plans, remedial design documentation and specifics, reports on construction completion, permit applications, etc.) in line with regulatory obligations (such as NYSDEC DER-10).

  • Contribute to planning and tracking of projects, ensuring they adhere to their scope, timetable, and financial constraints.

  • Engage with current and potential clients and be an effective team player alongside Engineers, Geologists and Scientists.

You will work with all levels of technical expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. About you

These include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geoenvironmental or Chemical Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience

  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up to date 8-hour refresher

  • Strong working knowledge of NYSDEC regulations and technical guidance. Familiarity with other local, State (e.g., NJDEP and PADEP) and federal (USEPA) agencies/regulations a plus

  • Experience with both conventional and innovative remediation technologies

  • Experience developing and implementing Pre-Design Investigations and Remedial Design documents (regulatory and technical/contractual)

Salary Transparency

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annual base salary between $106,000 and $130,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
