POSITION OVERVIEW
Worley Group Inc has an immediate opening for a Project Manager in our USW Project execution center, CA, USA. Worley is invested in becoming the leading service provider for Carbon Capture market as this market is rapidly growing with various sectors implementing their carbon emissions reduction programs. Our USW project delivery team is responsible for all projects including the ever-growing list of carbon capture jobs across different industries, including power, industrial, oil and gas and refineries. Selected candidates will be part of our Project Management team that is responsible for project delivery. The Project Managers at Worley have access to the global project management knowledge sharing teams with direct access to leaders across the organization and an ability to impact all facets of project designs. Project assignments range from capture managers during proposals, front end designs to execution of projects through all phases of design development, estimates and construction support.
Description:
The successful candidate will be planning, coordinating and managing the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of assigned projects. Additionally, he/she will ensure clear agreement of client objectives, and these objectives are met or exceeded, achieve or better the budgeted gross margin and provide strong HSE leadership.
The Project Managers are responsible for administering and managing the design teams including staff planning, budget forecasting, mentoring, financial performance and reporting progress and challenges to Worley location leadership. The Project Manager is expected to drive the team to meet project financial, schedule, and project objectives, consistent with Worley's standard operating procedures.
Typical work environment will be in the Worley offices but where possible hybrid working with regular time working from home balanced with attendance at Worley offices e.g., Monrovia or Long Beach.
Responsibilities
Commercial Management - effectively manages Worley/Client contract;
Scope Management - manages an effective handover from the Business Development Group. Clearly defines scope and compliance with requirements of the contract. Effectively manages change control process application, project interfaces, including use of High Value Engineering Centres. Manages and monitors project performance to identify issues and opportunities early and seizing opportunities to take pre-emptive action;
Time Management
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering
15 years industry experience in with successful delivery of projects, including Chemicals, Hydrocarbons, Mining, Minerals, and Metals (MM&M), or Power experience
A minimum of 5 year experience in project management
Experience in acid gas handling, carbon capture and CO2 rich environment will be given preference
Knowledge of CO2 service specifications, equipment / controls vendors, codes / standards / guidelines
Demonstrable commitment to HSE Management in a project Environment
Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations and managing client relationships
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of customer focus
Proven ability in leading multidiscipline activities
Experience with agile and scrum tools
Ability to think creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
Experienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work
Competent in design safety/environmental requirements, procedures and responsibilities for both self and subordinates
Team player experienced in working collaboratively to identify the best solutions for problems encountered and tenacity to drive these solutions with satisfactory application up to a final conclusion

Salary Range: $166,892.00-$245,430.00
