What you'll do

  • Automation project lead and responsible for several integrated capital equipment programs

  • Lead reviews and ultimate approvals for detailed design work with multiple engineering companies

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed schedule for automation activities

  • Accountable for overall management of projects financials. Developing, forecasting, and tracking project budgets.

  • Interface with clients, vendors, and/or internal teams to coordinate project schedules and plans

  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reporting for executive leadership and stakeholders

  • Manage the project resources responsible for configuration and testing of the software components

  • Lead the coordination of commissioning of Cytiva and third-party process equipment

  • Support any projects across Cytiva that may benefit from A&D capabilities.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 10+ years' experience in engineering management and leading technical teams

  • Ability to develop, forecast and manage financial budgets.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated success in building and leading collaborative global and cross-functional teams and relationships

  • Understanding and experience with cGMP Change Control systems as well as Good Documentation Practices.

  • Project/Program Management, Cost Modeling Analysis, Design Skills, Earned Value Management, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Safety Management, Microsoft Project/SmartSheets required

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys teamwork

  • Team oriented - ability to lead, motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to work globally

  • Experience with conflict resolution

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% of time

  • Knowledge of quality systems within bioprocess manufacturing

  • General knowledge of PLC, SCADA product development, and Distributed Control Systems.

The Software Automation Senior Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Viewed as a technical expert or advisor for one or more applications. * Participates on (and may lead) projects where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business process, system process, and industry standards. * Regularly mentors and reviews work of less experienced team members. * Executes schedules, costs and documentation to ensure assigned projects come to successful conclusion. * Initiates corrective action to stay on project schedules. * Performs all tasks in the development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing. * Supports existing applications including developing fixes as necessary and providing support for complex issues. * Gathers, understands, and documents user requirements and technical specifications. * Follows all software requirements development standards. * Utilizes available programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation. * Creates and helps maintain technical and end-user documentation for new and existing applications. * Performs all other related duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Active DoD Top Secret clearance * BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree * 8+ years of related experience * Industry Certifications * Experience supporting Cloud Service Offering * Experience researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software The likely salary range for this position is $112,000 - $168,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
