Job Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, chemical or controls engineering with a minimum of 8 years (experience can be substituted for a technical M.S. degree) as a project manager on multiple projects >$20MUSD.

  • Minimum of 10 years with demonstrable experience working with technical partners in areas of contract negotiations, project scope definitions, and delivery schedules

  • MBA is preferred.

  • PMP is preferred.

  • Typical travel 25-35%, majority of travel is domestic to the United States, but international travel is required at times depending on project assignment.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute specific scope for top level project priorities. Do not allow scope creep.

  • Develop, drive, and report on all activities associated with the assigned projects as associated with scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and change management.

  • Responsible for the generation and tracking of all project budgets. Works directly with Global Finance, regional controllers, and plant controllers on budget status, monthly reconciliation, spending forecasts and purchase order requests.

  • Act as the group's key contributor and manager for the corporate change review process, responsible for all documentation, data gathering, and applicable approvals.

  • Working with internal research teams and 3rd party suppliers to design, manufacture, install, commission, maintain and optimize state-of-the-art manufacturing processes.

  • Work directly with the Global Procurement division in operations (specifically the Indirect Procurement Manager) to coordinate NDAs, MSAs, contract negotiations, bid events, maintenance agreements, warranties, and technical partner relations.

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with manufacturing operations, process engineering, IT, continuous improvement (CI), S&OP, legal, finance and logistics teams - both local and global as necessary.

  • Intermediate between project engineers and technical partners to ensure that their specific scope of the project is clearly defined, and all questions/concerns are addressed.

  • Generation, tracking, and appropriate escalation of project schedules. Responsible for coordination, documentation, and updates of project engineer efforts through internal project management tracking tool.

  • Responsible for project documentation and revision control of associated project technical documentation, scopes, schedules, and budgets

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Experience with process flow analysis, capacity modeling and general manufacturing principles

  • Ability to drive projects to completion, operating a high pace and leading those assigned to the project to do the same, holding all corresponding project members and suppliers/vendors accountable for actions, timetables, and commitments.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including communication, execution and follow-up assessment.

  • Ability to work focus on major core projects and adhering to instructions (preventing scope creep), elevating issues in a timely manner to management.

  • Demonstrated ability and comfort level working as an individual contributor in a rapid pace environment where clear direction is given while allowing the employee to operate with minimal oversight on a daily basis.

  • Results oriented; seeks effective, creative solutions to process problems.

  • Working proficiency with lean six sigma analysis and analytical problem solving

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills in front of all levels of the organization

  • Knowledgeable in the use of engineering software (simulation packages, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Minitab, Office Suite, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, CMS, etc.)

  • Strong technical English proficiency
