Senior Project Lead Engineer

Are you an ambitious engineer looking to take up a lead level role? We're looking for a Senior Project Lead Engineer join us in Raleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for an already established Lead or a Senior looking to step up. You'll have extensive EPC Substation experience and be ready to take on the challenge of working on contracts up to 200M USD.

Responsible for the engineering, coordination and execution of all engineering disciplines for medium-voltage and high-voltage substation projects, both Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) and Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substation projects, Rail, Infrastructure, Data Center, Battery Energy Storage System and Wind offshore & onshore in the 34.5 -550 kV range with an emphasis on project safety, cost, quality and reliability

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead all engineering activities, both in-house and outsourced, during the proposal, design and construction stages of substation projects with strict adherence to the project contract.

• Support proposal efforts by introducing and promoting innovation, cost saving ideas, and value-added solutions to the overall system design concept.

• On-site assessment and evaluation of existing equipment, steel structures, foundations, etc., in so called "brown field" substation projects

• Providing expertise and support to the proposal and project teams in validating sub-contractor bids, and in negotiating sub-contracts for electrical substation projects

Competencies and skills:

• Knowledge of applicable ANSI standards is required.

• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites, including Outlook and other project management tools is a plus

• Ability to coordinate with other and clearly communicate with subtractors and clients.

Education

• Bachelor's of Engineering in Electrical Engineering

• Experience on high voltage substation Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects.
