PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Sr. Project Estimator at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our commitment to sustainable change by ensuring the accurate estimation of project costs. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, bridging traditional and innovative energy solutions, to deliver estimates that meet our clients' needs while contributing to our goal of generating 75% of revenue from sustainability-related projects. This role will be critical in driving efficiency and accuracy across a diverse range of projects, from large capital ventures to maintenance activities, while aligning with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop comprehensive estimate plans and manage the process from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Prepare and oversee bid packages, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, human resources, and supply chain, to integrate execution strategies and best practices into estimates.
• Lead project estimation meetings, including strategy, updates, and reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, including earthworks, concrete, structural components, equipment installation, piping, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Work with procurement to develop request for quotation (RFQ) packages, securing accurate pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain and develop pricing sheets, rate tables, and other client-specific requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the estimating department, representing the function in discussions with internal teams and clients.
• Contribute to proposal development, ensuring that execution plans and pricing are aligned with strategic objectives and client expectations.

• Extensive experience (8 years) in estimating within industrial construction environments, with a focus on large capital and maintenance projects.
• Educational background in Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field, with formal qualifications such as degrees, diplomas, or trade certificates considered advantageous.
• Strong working knowledge of Cleopatra or Aspen Capital Cost Estimating software, as well as proficiency in reading construction drawings and translating technical information into cost estimates.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple project types, from small capital to large-scale operations and maintenance (O&M) initiatives.
• Heavy industrial field experience is highly beneficial, bringing practical insight into execution strategies and cost-effective project delivery.
• Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of cross-disciplinary teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word, with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communicator, with the professionalism and discretion required to handle sensitive and confidential information.
