As part of the Heart Failure franchise, the Senior Project Engineer will lead cross-functional teams to develop and deliver improvements in cost, quality, and supply of existing Mechanical Circulatory Support commercialized products. He/She will interface with functional managers and management to ensure projects are resourced, to communicate status, and to resolve issues. The Senior Project Engineer will lead integration of improvements into the overall Supply Chain and support management of the overall portfolio of product optimization projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead cross-functional programs to deliver improvements of existing commercialized products on budget, on schedule, and meeting project objectives.

  • Manage program compliance with Quality Control requirements (i.e. Design Control, Process validation etc.).

  • Interface with Operations management and other functional managers to resolve program issues and communicate status

  • Maintain knowledge of new developments in manufacturing and design technologies.

  • Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required:

  • BS degree in Engineering or Technical Field required or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred

  • 6+ years engineering experience required

  • Experience designing and testing medical devices preferred

  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and technologies and designing for manufacturability preferred

  • Previous project management and people management experience preferred

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.
