The role at a glance:

NBBJ is looking for an experienced Senior Project Architect who has worked with large scale projects involving client contact and leadership responsibilities. The Project Architect performs architectural design and development work for a wide variety of projects involving construction of new buildings and the alteration of existing buildings and facilities.

Your New Role:

  • Work with clients and team members to identify objectives, develop options, and formulate creative solutions.

  • Interpret design concepts by collaborating with project team and translate them into workable construction systems and detailing, while maintaining design intent and advocating for design excellence.

  • Prepare appropriate documentation and deliverables from schematic design through construction administration in accordance with established firm and industry standards.

  • Maintain appropriate records for project phases in accordance with established firm and industry standards.

  • Lead and coordinate the work of other team members and consultants, providing direction, guidance, and mentoring as appropriate.

  • May participate in marketing efforts, including proposal development, presentations, and client interviews.

What you will need to Succeed:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the architectural field with successful experience in the documentation and delivery of large scale urban mixed-use projects

  • Fluency in Revit software

  • B Arch or M Arch degree

  • Architectural Licensure; LEED or other sustainability accreditation preferred.

  • Proven ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work with integrity, trust and commitment; setting an example for others

  • Ability to travel as the project(s) requires

Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response. Position Summary This position is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining. This is a senior-level engineer job that requires mastery of the substation journey owner's and project engineer duties. The Senior Engineer oversees our alliance engineering firms to lead simple to complex substation engineering and design projects. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of substation engineering concepts, principles, and practices to resolve complex problems with only general direction. Provides technical leadership and coaching to junior engineers. Researches and identifies practical solutions to solve complex problems. Reviews and negotiates engineering and design proposals, ensure adherence to the TD-3330P work procedure, check the accuracy and completeness of the final project scope, review and accept construction drawings, provide engineering support during construction, ensure all job close out duties, such as as-built review meeting, etc., are complete. Also acts as a subject matter expert on select substation equipment. Responsibilities * Resolve problems of complex scope. Serve as a key technical resource within area of specialization. Apply creativity or new approaches to assignments that may be unique. Lead others on technically complex projects. Regularly uses discretion and independent judgment in fulfilling these job functions. * Perform the functions of Associate, Journey and Senior level Engineer * Manage large highly complex projects and perform engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs. * Develop innovative solutions to solve challenging technical issues. * Acts as a lead in root cause analysis and makes recommendations to address local and system-wide problems. * Develop technical procedures and contributes to the development of standards, specifications, construction documents, and guidelines. * May represent PG&E at external industry associations, committees, trade organizations and other * inter-utility groups. * Act as an engineering mentor to junior engineers. * Establish and maintain professional relationships with our external business partners Qualifications Minimum: * BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US (proof of accreditation will be required) * 8 years of cumulative experience in substation electrical engineering and design Desired: * Experience in multiple large and complex substation projects without supervision and serve as team leader * Experience in completing complex substation assignments with few or no precedents or standards * Current California PE license Pacific Gas And Electric Company West Sacramento CA
