Senior Project Accounting Analyst (Huntsville/Madison, AL)

Responsibilities

Hexagon's Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking to hire a Senior Project Accounting Analyst for our Madison, AL office. Individuals in this position are responsible for providing financial advice and support to the project delivery functions, such as training, maintenance support, consulting services, and so on. Individuals will work under minimal supervision with a wide latitude for independent judgement. This will be a hybrid role with a required 1-2 days in the office per week (minimum).

• Reviews project proposals, ensures projects adhere to contract language, tracks project amendment documentation, records revenues, and produces project billings

• Performs technical support including project scheduling and planning, budget review and cost analysis, pricing and margin analysis, and change of scope impact analysis

• Provides guidance to the proposal and legal team during contract negotiations

• Communicates any issues, problems, or additional information to project managers, project stakeholders, and executive management and recommends solutions

• Monitors and evaluates project timelines and activity and reports on progress to project managers and leadership

• Considered highly skilled and proficient in the discipline

• Conducts complex work important to the organization

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• Equivalent, relevant, experience considered in lieu of a degree

• A minimum of 4 years of job related experience

• Must be proficient in Microsoft office and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, Teams)

• Must have excellent communication skills in effective collaboration, client services, time management, & writing

• Self-starter able to take little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments

• Must be located in the Madison/Huntsville, AL area as this position requires a minimum of 1-2 days in the office per week

Preferred

• Experience in prior payroll, billings, contracts admin or proposals positions

• Knowledge of Dynamics GP Projects
