Robert Half Finance is looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join an exciting construction/real estate company who is integrating the market. They are working on tech to integrate architectural design, finance, construction, property management, and marketing.

Responsibilities:
? Work with the Development Team to manage project costs and help keep projects on track and budget. ? Review general invoices for data entry accuracy, proper approvals, third-party insurance compliance, etc. ? Review and/or enter billings and commitments and commitment change orders into Sage. ? Prepare and enter general ledger journal entries for financial statements. ? Responsible for monthly owner billings of various projects held by joint venture entities. ? Provide necessary support to project owners to allow for complete and accurate draw requests to project lenders. ? Prepare open AP report with check selections for bi-weekly check runs. ? Prepare and enter direct job cost entries for allocations to and/or reallocations of job cost. ? Assist in preparation of monthly general ledger close reconciliations. ? Responsible for the coordination and review of monthly subcontractor pay applications and supporting documents, including applicable prelim and final lien releases and insurance-related documentation. ? Review subcontractor pay apps and general invoices for data entry accuracy, proper approvals, third-party insurance compliance, etc.

Requirements
? Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. ? High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma is required. ? Proficiency with various computer hardware and software and accounting systems that are used in the real estate industry, such as, Sage300, TimberScan, and Quickbooks Enterprise is preferred. ? Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing. ? Able to work independently with minimal supervision. ? Minimum 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience with a background in commercial construction is required. ? Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, cost accounting with the emphasis on job costing, and long-term construction projects. ? Extensive experience surrounding contracting with subcontractors and material suppliers required. The Corporate Accounting team is currently seeking a Senior Accountant. This position will report to the Technology Operations and IT Accounting Manager within the Americas Corporate Accounting team and will be based at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. The successful applicant will be responsible for many aspects of general ledger-related activities ranging from proper application of US GAAP to accounting transactions, the monthly close, and balance sheet account reconciliation in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment. You will work with FP&A, Leasing, and various cross functional teams when preparing the expense accruals. You will also be involved in the 10Q and 10K processes and participate in SOX compliance for the general ledger area; interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. We are looking for someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast–paced environment to support our continued success. Your Impact:
 * Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables primarily relating to Salesforce Technology Ops and IT in the Americas (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) * Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting * Work with internal and external business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests. * Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) * Provide support to the 10Q and 10K reports, including preparing/reviewing supporting schedules, ensure timely completion and review of all assigned general ledger account reconciliations * Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors * Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations * Drive to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process * Participate in various department-wide initiatives * Ad-hoc projects as necessary Basic Requirements:
 * BA in Accounting, CPA/CA preferred * 3 to 5 years of overall general accounting experience, Technology industry and Big 4 experience a plus * Oracle 11i or higher, or other ERP system experience * Strong Excel skills required * Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus * Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment * Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance * Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required * Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with individuals throughout the company * Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines * Strong time management and organizational skills * Must be a self-starter and team player and able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment * Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently
