Senior Programmer Analyst - Data Processing

Position Overview

The successful candidate will support multiple applications and will define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This will include writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications.

The Senior Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. This individual will also provide mentoring, support, and guidance in the Senior Programmer Analyst lead Role.

Summary of Job Duties

The overall job duty of the Senior Programmer Analyst is to develop and maintain databases and software applications by evaluating client needs and analyzing requirements. The candidate will assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation with research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.

The individual must be a self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks at the same time while producing high quality results. Knowledge of thorough testing procedures to ensure that systems produce accurate output in a timely manner and that file updating meets agreed upon criteria. This position does require some program development/coding of software systems. The Senior Programmer Analyst contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The candidate should possess the ability to identify improvements for designated systems, develop appropriate policies and procedures. Performs analysis, develops reports, online systems and analyzes user needs to determine functional and cross functional requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices with prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

A working knowledge of SQL coding is required. Experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases, HTML, .NET and/or ColdFusion, Knowledge of Kronos, Oracle JD Edwards Enterprise One, MVC, Dynamics 365 integration using REST API's, Microsoft Common Data Service and Microsoft Power Platform would be helpful.

Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have the ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
