Senior Programmer Analyst - IS Client Proposal Tools

What IS Client Proposal Tools does

The IS Client Proposal Tools team is responsible for numerous custom-built applications, used daily by our home office associates and branch teams to propose broker/dealer and fee-based accounts to clients and to manage changes those fee-based accounts after account opening. We're seeking an exceptionally talented person to innovate and collaborate with our team and to generate creative ideas that will continue taking these applications to the next level.

What you'll do:

  • Duties include designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining programs under minimal direction

  • May include conducting interviews for potential job candidates and providing quality assurance reviews

  • Perform lead analyst role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systems

  • Perform project leadership role on small initiatives

  • Provide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignments

  • Assist with defining and meeting business requirements

  • Develop and modify complex procedures considering equipment capacity and limitations Formulate and define system scope and objectives

  • Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans

  • Utilize Java, SQL programming languages, and provide quality assurance reviews

  • Conduct discussions and/or meetings with IS Management and end users

  • Research and prepare system time/cost estimates

  • Mentor less-experienced developers

  • Provide system support, including on-call pager rotation

Position Requirements

What you'll need...

  • Five or more years experience in software development and support of Client/Server Web environments.

  • Experience with Java, J2EE, & SQL

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent organization and time management skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, etc. required
