THE POSITION The Senior Program Specialist under the direction of the Project Director lll will work directly with the Los Angeles Office of Education (LACOE), the California Coalition for Inclusive Learning (CCIL) Team to support the application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) with an emphasis on inclusive learning instruction. The Senior Program Specialist co-designs and delivers professional learning opportunities throughout Los Angeles County supporting the process of designing, piloting, and evaluating unique learning experiences enabling all learners (students and educators) to become more expert learners.

This person must be well-versed in coaching and implementation of UDL. This position is funded through a contract with the California Department of Education and the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) to support educators across California to deepen their understanding of UDL and its application in inclusive classrooms. The Senior Program Specialist will provide both in-person and remote support to teams of educators within Los Angeles County. This position may require some travel throughout the state.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: Five or more years of directly related and progressive teaching experience including experience working with students with diverse learning needs.

Professional development and/or coaching experience in UDL is desired. Education: Master's degree or higher in Education or a closely related field. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (All applicants must attach credential with document number to their application.
