As our Senior Program Manager you will support a rapidly growing business sales partnership between Verizon Enterprise Solution and a handful key Fortune 500 business partners. You will specifically partner with Sales, Executive Leadership, Sales Operations, Strategic customer Engagement, Marketing, Custom pricing Operations, legal, Accounting, and Finance to drive deal velocity, scalability and visibility through specific deal management life cycle.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, identify resource needs, and manage project schedule; collaborate effectively across teams to define strategy, goals and commitment to timelines and deliverables.

  • Lead the definition, design and roll out of a new program or key new features.

  • Identify program goals and strategic initiatives at given timeframes.

  • Be the project lead to a product/tech team/business partner for the program and within the team.

  • Create stakeholder facing metrics, weekly executive summary and reporting.

  • Understand and discuss technical concepts, software services and manage tradeoffs.

  • Coordinate and manage acceptance testing including creation of test cases.

  • Oversee comprehensive testing of systems changes and development of standard operating procedures and process documentation.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate risks at multiple levels.

  • Partner with colleagues to develop processes and systems that are scalable.

  • Organization goals and metrics definition, tracking and reporting are we doing what we said we would be doing? How are we doing?

  • Organize business reviews and planning activities to drive business assessment and specific outcomes.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience managing cross functional programs.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Five or more years of experience managing large scale, cross functional complex programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs.

  • Attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

  • Capability to communicate verbally and written with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior leaders, across functions including the capability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

  • Experience developing teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.

  • Track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to solve difficult and complex problems.

  • Excellent skills with MS PowerPoint and Excel tables.

  • Extensive hands-on experience working across multiple disciplines, presenting findings to an executive audience and publishing findings in written format.

  • Results-oriented ability with a delivery focus.

  • Handled multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • The ability to think outside the box; passionate about your work, self-motivated, detail oriented and have excellent problem solving skills.

This is a perfect position for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to plan & execute to aggressive business goals through successful coordination & collaboration across distributed functional teams. The individual will be expected to do what it takes to deliver on (budget, schedule, and scope) commitments. The individual filling this position is one who can exercise solid judgment in diving deep when necessary, as well provide the big picture guidance to keep a large number of program team members and stakeholders in alignment. As a Program Manager you will plan, lead, and manage cross-functional programs – either new product, sustaining or infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional and cross-organizational teams, focused on driving program execution from definition through successful release of the hardware, and executing in consort with product organizations whose delivery schedules depend on our timely delivery. You will have the opportunity to accurately monitor, track, and provide comprehensive program progress reports, as well have the ability to mitigate risks in a timely manner. The primary focus of this position will be in support of driving Nimble Data Center Software releases through all phases of the release process. In that context, you will provide support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company's products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc. Responsibilities: * Manages and leads key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for multiple products or service offerings for a Global Business Unit. * Directs the development of overall program strategy, budgets, resource allocation plans, and general program requirements for the Global Business Unit. * Manages activities of supporting program teams and internal and external development partners; ensures alignment with unit strategy and owns responsibility for overall program profit and loss management. * Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with business unit management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs. * Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing engineering organization. * Reviews and evaluates program plans and guidelines for compliance with program management guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve overall program management quality and results for the organization. * Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of program management innovation and excellence. * Manage all Data Center Software releases from requirements to ship. These include applications and solutions such as Converged solutions. This includes being familiar with our partner ecosystem release schedules to ensure alignment with our releases. * Collaborate within the business unit and across HPE to ensure all project dependencies are tracked and joint programs are defined, managed, and released on schedule. * Lead the weekly DCS Engineering/Product Management meetings and ensure all actions are resolved. * Lead DCS Release Management Team meetings and ensure all release related topics are covered and actions are resolved. * Coordinate with project teams to develop monthly engineering review project updates and quarterly roadmap updates. * Proactively suggest and drive process improvements to increase efficiencies of how the teams operate. Desired Experience * Experience with Data Center Applications: VMWare, Linux, Windows, Containers, etc. * Experience with or Knowledge of Converged Solutions. * Experience in managing programs utilizing both Agile and Waterfall development methodology. * Experience managing hardware/software NPI programs. Education and Experience Required: * BS in Engineering or a technical field. * Five years' experience as an engineering manager highly desired. * Five years' experiences as an engineering program manager. * Experience in working with cross-functional internal and external teams. * Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity and strategic skills. * Demonstrated success in leading programs and teams, planning and tracking execution, gaining consensus, resolving issues, creating and triggering mitigation plans, and leading process improvement initiatives.
