Senior Program Manager - SpecialtyJob Description

The Senior Program Manager will lead a program, and own analytics and data modeling for designated therapeutics categories, all with the goal of lowering specialty drug spend on both the pharmacy and medical benefit. This position will work closely with internal and external partners to develop strategies for Prime's Blue Cross Blue Shield clients, and clearly communicate to gain support and adoption of programs and strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex data to identify specialty drug savings opportunities for Blue Cross Blue Shield clients

  • Develop and maintain financial models for specific therapeutic classes used to determine the most cost-effective drugs as part of Prime's Medical Drug Formulary

  • Collaborate closely with clinical pharmacists to provide data insights, paired with pharmacist's clinical knowledge, to develop strategies to most effectively manage specialty drugs

  • Work as part of cross-functional team to develop end-to-end strategies for designated therapeutic classes, and present data components of strategies at quarterly client meeting

  • Develop and execute operational plans for programs and initiatives related to assigned line of business across all market segments and for maintaining alignment and identifying interdependencies between all program level work efforts

  • Collaborate with various business units, cross functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate and on budget implementation of programs

  • Manage products/programs and implement tools/enhancements to ensure new strategies are successfully developed and implemented

  • Collaborate with other business units to develop business cases to support new program opportunities/enhancements and performance target metrics

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS Diploma or GED is required

  • 5 years of work experience in healthcare, PBM, specialty pharmacy, or health care consulting

  • 1 year of program management experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to work in self-directed environment

  • Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate issues and develop innovative solutions

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities for this Position General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The successful candidate will be responsible for execution of several production contracts for our primary core avionics program. The Sr. PM will work within a highly-matrixed organization to meet contractual and financial commitments and be the primary interface with the customer. In addition to program execution, the successful candidate with be responsible for leading and establishing process improvement initiatives for current and transitioning from development production programs.
