The Senior Program Manager will standardize around excellence to organize, coordinate, and continuously improve the execution of programs. They will provide strategic guidance across Release Trains to Development Teams, ancillary supporting departments, and Project Managers which promote the company's culture. As a member of the PMO team, will closely coordinate with Product Managers, UX Designers and Testers, and Scrum Masters. The goal is to ensure all programs deliver a desirable outcome to our organization.

  • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects

  • Decide on suitable strategies, standards and objectives that align to Agile team objectives

  • Coordinate cross-project activities

  • Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution at all levels of the organization

  • Remove impediments to the program or guide individuals by engaging the right personnel to unblock the team member

  • Provide internal and external communication, improve transparency and radiate information

  • Communicate program and initiative needs, priorities and status to leaders and members of other departments through transparent reporting

  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities

  • Apply change, risk and resource management principles

  • Assume responsibility for the program's people, tools and vendors

  • Assess program performance and maximize ROI by continually improving efficiency and value

  • Resolve project scoping issues

  • Lead as a Servant Leader and Mentor in PMO and the broader organization

  • Participate in PMO peer reviews

  • Be a thought leader and subject matter expert in SAFe Program Management


Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 - 5 years' proven experience leading a SaaS Program Management (PMO) Team

  • 3 - 5 years' leadership or management experience

  • SAFe project or program management experience is desired, but not required

  • JIRA and Confluence experience preferred (but not required)

  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) models

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage staff of different disciplines

  • Develop efficient strategies and standardization's that align to the increasing agility of the company

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, from individual contributor to Executive leadership

  • Strong listening skills

  • Ability to learn all required software systems

  • Ability to operate within a structured environment, but willing to foresee/solve problems when they arise

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

The Role We are seeking a seasoned and proven Senior Program Manager to own one of the most highly visible and impactful IT application programs. In this role, you will be expected to drive the acquisition integration activities for back office business applications, e-commerce and customer portal(s). Successful program/project management responsibilities include: managing and aligning stakeholders, working with the leadership team and stakeholders to establish consensus on priorities, controlling scope, working with setting the project schedule, identifying, reporting, and mitigating risks, creating appropriate governance, and providing thorough and timely status reporting. As the senior most program manager on the team, you will be expected to help administer project execution standards, identify and implement best practices, and mentor other team members. Responsibilities * Lead integration activities pre/post acquisition for the Business Applications group. * Define, establish and manage work streams required to support acquisition integration. * Work with leadership to prioritize integration activities * Provide regular, concise and accurate program/project status both in documented and verbal mediums. * Conduct analysis and documentation of systems from a functional and high level technical perspective * Provide exceptional stakeholder management skills * Manage multiple work-streams/projects simultaneously * Develop a deep understanding of SolarWinds Products, business models and the back-end systems that support the business units. * Willingness to travel as required (1-2 weeks per quarter) Qualifications * Experience in acquisition integration * Exceptional stakeholder management skills * Proven track record of delivering in both Agile and Waterfall environments and situationally adapting methodology as appropriate * Ability to decompose complex and multi-faceted program into executable and measureable work streams * Strong executive presence, with the ability to coordinate, communicate, and manager at all levels in the organization * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including packaging communications in succinct Powerpoint presentations * Strong business and technical vision * Exceptional customer relationship skills with experience managing and developing technical staff and teams * Able to handle high volume workload in a fast paced environment * Effective organization and time management skills * Creativity: must be able to deal with ambiguity, solve problems, and push through project obstacles * Undergraduate degree and 8+ years relevant work experience Nice to Haves * Relevant experience with financial and billing systems, SFDC and Marketo. * Familiarity with Jira (both generating user stories and reporting) * PMP®Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM® Certified Associate in Project Management Solarwinds, Inc.
