Moog, Inc. has recently created an internal start-up-like business unit within its Military Aircraft Group Mission Systems Sector. This team will focus on developing systems for EVTOL/ECTOL/ESTOL aircraft which is a new segment of the aircraft market for Moog, with significant opportunity for growth.

The Advanced Air Mobility Business Unit is a business focused on enabling the electrification of tomorrow's aircraft today. We will be developing propulsion and actuation systems from development, through integration to final certification. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to support this opportunity within the AAM Business Unit.

As a Senior Program Manager, you can expect to:

  • Drive to deliver critical electrification systems for some of our most innovative companies

  • Lead a team responsible for highly challenging engineering development and production programs

  • Manage internal resources, budgets, and assets for approximately $5 - $20 million in combined program sales

Here is what you'll work on:

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements through coordination and management all program activities.

  • Achieve program/project objectives through effective application of program management principles within the confines of scope, schedule and budget defined by the program/project sponsor.

  • Sustain and expand the organizations book of business through the leadership and/or support of proposal teams and business capture campaigns.

  • Ensure proper coordination between all program elements by developing program plans and schedules and to ensure compliance with program plans by monitoring the status of cost, schedule and task completion.

  • Achieve timely resolution of outstanding issues through the conductance of effective day-to-day communications with the customer, Moog management, and Moog functional organizations.

  • Optimize the program/project likelihood of success through the appropriate application of the following processes: Project Planning; Project Monitoring and Control; Organizational Management; Change Management; and Risk Management

Here is what you'll need to be considered for this exciting opportunity:

  • Bachelor's in a business or technical field, preferably engineering.

  • 3+ years of relevant program management experience; 7+ years' total experience inclusive of the program management experience; preferably in Aerospace / Defense industries.

  • Proven Leadership Experience, excellent listening and persuasive skills.

  • Demonstrated team collaboration skills, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of customer orientation.

  • Experience in qualification programs and new product introduction programs.

  • Knowledge of project management tools including Integrated Master Schedule, Earned Value Management.

  • Experience managing multiple programs.

  • Ability to present program information to customers and other groups of people; ability to navigate high pressure situations.

  • Ability to lead, organize, and influence people through outstanding communication and facilitation skills.

  • The ideal candidate has strong schedule and delivery orientation with ability to drive results.

Salary

  • The base salary for this position is $111,009.60 to $155,000.00.
